Ditched the levitating nonsense from their competitor - those produce unbearable commutation noise at moderate to high speeds. And here I thought it was 'state of the art' ... These Be Quiet Shadow Wings 2 are extremely quiet - I didn't know what I was missing. Installation was quick and simple. I like the friction fit push pins, not sure what all the complaining is about. For my Fractal R6 case they worked perfectly. I sure hope the bearings in these stay quiet for their spec'd life expectancy. Only time will tell. These are great fans, engineered to perfection IMHO and priced right.

Silent and really easy to install. Doesn't go too high for rpm though

I’ve done my research and experimented with Noctua and Corsair fans as well as other Be Quiet fans. I have this on my Carbide 540 case and this fans are the quietest you can get. Be Quiet even advertises them as quieter than the newer Silent Wings 3. This is absolutely true. They also have a wonderful push pin design instead of annoying screws. These fans are nearly inaudible at full rpm and inaudible at idle. I have them plugged into Noctua low noise adapters which lower the idle rpm to about 500 rpm. Effective and quiet. You’re welcome for me helping you find the real quietest fan out there.

Overall, I'm very happy with the fans and their incredible value, $16.50 ea at the time of my purchase. However, there is one design aspect that I found to be a bit problematic: the anti-vibration mounting system; specifically, the push-pins and rubber washers. I have a Fractal Design Define C case and the top and front mesh dust filters fit pretty flushly to the chassis. The be quiet! push-pins and their washers sit a little too proud and protrude to the point that my dust filters wouldn't properly fit back on my case. I had to file (or shave) the push-pins down a bit and now the dust filters fit back on the case better than before. Thinner rubber washers would help this situation further but I didn't have any. If you find yourself in this situation, and I'm not saying my workaround is recommended, but don't file the push-pins down too much or they'll lose the structural integrity they need to be operable. That's the only complaint, though. The fans are slick, satisfactorily silent, and I'm very pleased with my purchase.
