So, i had to do some research before getting this. Namely, i wanted to install some of these fans as radiator fans on my H100i v2 water cooler. I wanted to be sure that i could still control the led's if the fan is powered through the cables that pass through the pump (i wanted the speed to be controlled through corsair link along with the pump speed). I was glad to find out that each fan has TWO cables: one that plugs into wherever you control your fans (be it directly to the motherboard or otherwise) and one that plugs into the included led controller (if you bought the product version that includes the hub, it is required to control the leds). All of that said, the fans are very quiet and perform optimally. These performed just as well as the fans i had before but were much more powerful. The fans i had before were cheep and just plugged into molex plugs. The cables i mentioned above are long enough that you should be able to hide them along the sides of the case and still reach where you want to plug them in. The included three button controller is also long enough that i was able to run the cable through the back side of my case (the case had a very convenient hole) and have access to the buttons without opening the case. The lights are also bright enough that they illuminate the entire case and function nicely to light up the entirety of your case. They came with an extension if you wanted control of the leds from another controller. i didn't use this feature and didn't need to use it so i can't tell you how well it works.

These fans go PERFECT with my CORSAIR Lighting Node PRO. Personally, I would not buy this entire kit agian... If I'd known that I was going to get the Node Pro RGB LED Strips I would not have bought the controller and extras. If you like the Node Pro's, well good news for ya. The controller that come with the Node with ALSO control up to either 3 or 5 other fans. Pretty sure it 5. Main point is just buy the fans in a group WITHOUT the controller kit, save yourself 40.00 bucks I think... don't quote me. And link everything together. And man when I say link it all together, IF you buy these HD120 RGB fans alone you'll be happy' with them, BUT if you get the Node Pro for another 25 bucks, It will blow you out of the water with how many different lighting effects you get to set up. Your doing it wrong without the NODE. The controller in this kit is limited to changing to a Solid different color (7 I think), and a couple other flashy patterns. Nothing to go crazy over. The Node Pro lets you control each the 12 LED's within the fan itself.I will include a picture below of my customer PC so that you can get an idea of what the Corsair Node Pro and the HD120 RGB look like together. And guys, I LOVE these RGB fans and Strips, goes hand to hand with the rest of my RGB bug. Even the boxes they come in are sexy enough to put on display about you desk.I hope this helps. Thank you Corsair for being so awesome!

For the price I could have gotten all Noctua fans and had fans that would last longer than me, my kids, grandkids, and probably several generations more, all the while having fantastic air flow and pure silence, but RGB boosts performance in a whole other metric: swag. These HD120's increase swag by approximately 87%. I got two of these triple sets, so my computer's swag metric increased by approximately 174%, meaning it now picks up chicks better than I ever could. That's right, with these fans my computer is the wing man you take to bars even though they end up leaving with the girl you had your eye on.Regardless, I really love these fans. The control through Corsair Link, and using the Commander Pro, is great, offering tons of color options and several style options. You can set these up to respond to the temperature of any component you want that has temperature monitoring, which is awesome. The air flow is variable AF- I have the four on my cooler cranked a little higher during gaming streaming or editing, and the two on top of my computer running lower all the time as a gentle exhaust. They're pretty quiet if you set your fan curves well. If you crank them at 100%, they sound like a turbine. At my computer's hottest, I've only ever had these fans at about 60%, max. These are premium, and the RGB effects are second to none. I highly recommend these things if you want a computer that's sexier than you.

Corsair makes great fans but they are expensive in my opinion. I have used these for two computer builds that I own.
