Being very sensitive to noises, I went through almost all of the highly rated and recommended fans throughout many years. I used to have Gentle Typhoons (AP-15) on my 480mm and 240mm radiators, and although they did their job well, the motor noise was starting to get on my nerves. After discovering a leak in one of the rads, I decided to upgrade my entire setup.I initially ordered the Corsair SP120 Performance Editions, but when placed horizontally on the radiator it would emit a rattling sound which really got on my nerves. So I returned them back to Amazon and ordered the newer Gentle Typhoon PWM editions to only find out the motor sound was worse than ever even on low RPM.At this point I was just frustrated, so even though the ML series was quite new, was costly, and didn't have as much reviews, I decided to give them a try, and I think these are the best fans I've heard so far. There's literally no motor noise due to Magnetic Levitation, and the RPM curve via PWM is smoothest I've seen yet.Keep in mind that these fans MUST BE controlled via PWM (either a controller, or from your motherboard PWM header). Not using PWM will run these at full speed, which will be quite loud. Controlling these via DC can work, but is not recommended as the range, and RPM curve will not be as smooth, which can produce unwanted noise.Pros:- Excellent RPM/noise curve- Barely audible at lower RPM- Build quality is superb- Flat, sleeved cables- Rubber on the contact points to reduce vibrations- Looks sleek aesthetically- Pushes more air at lower noise levels- 5 year warranty from a company I consider the best at customer service and warranty replacementCons:- Expensive. Although there are fans that perform better at lower cost (though at the cost of noise), I feel that it's totally worth it if you're sensitive to the motor noise like I am.

I picked up 4 of these Corsair premium 120mm fans to replace the 3 front RGB 3-pin fans that came stock in my black Corsair iCUE 220T RGB Airflow mid-tower ATX Case. I really liked the high-airflow Corsair ATX case, but didn't want any obnoxious RGB in my build, & also wanted 4-pin BIOS/MB-controlled PWM fans instead of the basic 3-pin fans. You get what you pay for, and these fans do what a premium 120mm PWM fan should do. I'm using 3 of the fans up front for intake &1 in the rear of case for exhaust. My new AMD Ryzen 3700X build is running cool & quiet, so I'm happy with the result. Pretty funny though how 4 of these fans cost almost as much as the mid-range ATX case that I bought.- CASE - CORSAIR ICUE 220T RGB Airflow ATX Mid-Tower (Black, x3 RGB Fans Removed)- FAN(S) - CORSIAR ML120 PRO 120mm Premium Magnetic Levitation PWM 4-Pin Fans (4 Total - 3 Front Intake & 1 Rear Exhaust)- PSU - SEASONIC PRIME Ultra 650W 80+ Platinum 140mm Compact ATX (SSR-650PD2)- MOTHERBOARD - MSI B450 TOMAHAWK MAX (ATX Form-Factor), Ryzen 3000 Revision Board w/Expanded BIOS- CPU - AMD RYZEN 3700X 8-Core 16-Thread w/Wraith Prism Cooler (Using Innovation Cooling Graphite Thermal Pad 40x40mm)- MEMORY - KINGSTON HyperX Fury 32GB (4x8GB) 3200MHz DDR4 CL15 DIMMs (HX432C16FB3K2/16)- WIFI ADAPTER - ASUS AX3000 Next-Gen WiFi-6 Dual Band PCIe Wireless Adapter (PCE-AX58BT)- GPU - EVGA NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 TI SC ULTRA GAMING (06G-P4-1667-KR)- INTERNAL BOOT/SYSTEM DRIVE - INTEL SSD D3-S4610 Enterprise-Class Series (SSDSC2KG480G801) 480GB SATA 2.5- INTERNAL SECONDARY DRIVE - WESTERN DIGITAL BLUE HDD 500GB SATA 2.5

I did a lot of research before building my current Desktop Computer, and these fans seem to be the best. Not only do they offer High Airflow, but also High Static Pressure as well. That is the perfect combination to keep you computer cool. I have 8 of these in my Desktop Case (plus two other fans) and my computer remains at a safe temperature at all times. Even with Encoding Video with all cores running at 100% my CPU never exceeds 70 degrees. During low usage I usually stay in the 20's and thats with my processor overclocked and Performance mode running 24/7. They are not cheap, but they are worth it. I have only had 1 fan fail on me and it lasted 6 Years. Highly recommended.

Upgraded the stock fans to these and it is sooooo quiet!!! Amazing. R12 has liquid cooling and a somewhat modest GPU. My primary goal is to have something I could do content creation on, so I wanted it quiet. I liked that it looked like Darth Vader, but I didn't want it to sound like him....These are dead quiet. I bought the Corsair 120's by mistake. Put those in. Made the MB sensors mad, for one, and were meh quiet. So ponied up the extra for these. Perfect. No sensor issues. No noise.I launched Furmark CPU, told it max threads, stayed at 56C for 30m. Made less noise than my old MBP did using Chrome.
