Built like a Russian brick $#!+ house. I have 2 of these in 140mm and one 120mm. The red leds are pretty dim / subtle. The blue leds are more visible. Super quiet at lower rpm. They spin much faster than other fans at 100% so they can be loud. Then again, they’re moving a ton of air. The 140mm fans I’ve had for 2 years and they were a great upgrade for the Phanteks P400s case that has restricted airflow at the front panel. The latest 120mm was a replacement for a cooler master 120mm on a Hyper 212 CPU cooler. Night and day difference. The new Corsair ML is quieter at every RPM and spins 400rpm faster with no increase in noise. Plus, it just looks cool. These are really nice fans and I’ll be buying more for the next PC I build this fall.

This is my first build and I bought three of these as the case fans. After I installed them and powered on the PC, I felt the noise was too noticeable, given the fact that I have always been using branded desktop PC since childhood, therefore to me it really seemed a little bit disturbing, especially when the noise changed with your operations in a very responsive fashion. For example, when you open a web browser and play a video, the fan noise level began to go up, sometimes just for a few seconds and then go down. Such change was so distracting. BUT, I changed two settings in BIOS to reduce the noise level significantly. First, I switched fan mode from DC to PWM. Then, I turned off the Smart Fan Mode and manually set the RPM at 40%. The previous setting used to be ~60%, which was completely unnecessary to me, as I have a third party CPU cooler and even with full load, the temp of CPU (i5 8400) never exceeded 55 degree celsius, and GPU (GTX 1060) never exceeded 65 degree celsius. Now it is much better to work and game on the PC, and the noise level is so much close to a staff PC that I am familiar with, quiet yet powerful.

Absolutely lovely fan that works perfectly with my cooler. At only 50% it cools just as much as my previous fan in a Coolermaster case. It was just a random CM fan. You can really make this thing roll if you want. At 100% it gets loud and very capable of cooling just about anything. No doubt about that. It actually really fits in with my 690 II Advanced case. No problems at all with the install into an old Asetek cooler. Easy. Set up within 5 minutes. I control it through the BIOS. I just left it on about 50% fan speed at all times. A nice upgrade to my rig. AT 50% it is low volume, but you can go even lower if you want to if noise is an issue. I run an OC'd 2600K so I need the speed.

These case fans are built very well and quiet.
