Bought this fan to replace a higher RPM fan inside a iNuke 3000DSP Amplifier. I'm using the amp in a home theater application, and the stock fan seemed like overkill for this as well as making a decent amount of fan noise as well. Did some quick research on Noctuas website and ended up going for this model. It's not entirely silent, but it's quiet to the point that my pc or any other background noise is louder than it, while still delivering a decent amount or airflow and cooling. Exactly what I was looking for, and even though it was my 1st Noctua purchase, it won't be the last. Do your research and Noctua won't disappoint! Fairly priced for the quality as well.

Can’t go wrong with Noctua, got this for a small itx build with 80mm exhaust in the back, works great of course, quiet and I know I can depend on it. I’ve never had to replace a single Noctua for years and years, definitely a go-to brand that’s worth the cost.

I have two of these Noctua 80mm case fans in two of my budget builds. Keeps'em nice and cool and runs whisper quiet.

Same of better flow than the fan it replaced. Bearing on old fan was starting to fail. It would still run at full speed so I am certain the Noctua is at least as good. Its very quiet. A little more expensive, but hopefully will last 5 years or more.
