I don't write a lot of reviews of items. No matter whether I like the item or even not so enamored with it. This is a really nice case. I have lived with it for quite a few months as of now and I'm quite happy with it. It is super quiet and extremely well built. The case is made from steel sheet metal and plastic. Mostly steel and it is quite heavy. This is the heaviest case that I have ever used and the tempered glass side panel plays a good part in the heft of this build. There is a lot of heavy sound damping material attached to the interior of the front door panel as well as the top panel and for the panel under the motherboard (right hand side if looking at the front). This case is supplied with three 140mm fans that quietly move an ample amount of air for my purposes. Two fans in the front for intake and one for exhaust in the rear. Several placement options for water cooling systems if you need that. I also like that the front door can be hinged on either side of the case. Plenty of mounting options to arrange drives and conceal excess cabling for a clean, clutter-free interior. Really makes for a very clean build. You will want to get some fan cable extensions and Y cables. This case has an internal optical drive mount behind the door. This case is a "showcase" for my build. I probably spent too much money on it but I'm not sorry that I did.

I was interested in this Computer Case based on many on-line reviews, so when I had the chance to build a new computer for a relative, I went ahead and took the plunge. In the past, I have gravitated towards buying Lian Li or Silverstone all aluminum cases and I do not regret that. However, for a case that is made with painted steel and some plastic components, I am deeply impressed with this case and the obvious quality of design and manufacturing involved. Nothing is flimsy or "cheap" feeling or looking about this case. There are no rough edges in the case and the Gunmetal Grey paint quality is excellent. The side panels, both glass and steel, are surprisingly heavy and the case has sound deadening material on top, front, and side panels. There is plenty of room for cable management, flexible layouts, and excellent water cooling support.A couple of key reasons why I purchased this case were great fan cooling potential, it actually has a 5 1/4" drive bay for a CD burner, (CDs are not dead yet), no RGB LED lighting, (do your own), and excellent cable management features. I think Fractal Design hit a home run with this case. If I had anything to critique, it would be that I wish Fractal was able to offer this same case but with Aluminum fabrication rather than Steel. Sure, it would cost more, but I would have purchased it in a heartbeat. Also, just so you know, the actual Gunmetal Grey turns out looking like a dark charcoal grey in real life. The photos, (due to lighting) make the grey lighter looking. I am not complaining and I think it looks elegant, but just know it is darker than in the photos. When I first opened the box, I thought I got a black case rather then the gunmetal grey. I would give this case 6 stars if I could. Well Done Fractal Design. As one additional side note, I wanted to add that the 3 1/2 hard drive trays on my unit had some pretty sharp edges on them, and to use caution. Not enough to ding a star, as I found no other sharp edges, but those you need to be careful with. As the photos show, I took some liberty with adding a little bit of red color to the case. I will call it the Testarossa.

I selected this case for a new pc for video production and editing. Key factors for selection were quality reputation, ventilation, access for DVD drive, number of drive bays, and front (top) USB ports and options for system cooling. The fans in this case are Super Quiet! My only complaint is that the markings for the USB ports (2.0 v 3.0) are Extremely he’s to read. But as you use the ports a few time it’s just a (human) memory thing.I would definitely recommend the case for gaming and high end builds. It is probably way overkill for a simple system build.

These days it is very challenging to find a well designed computer case with plenty of traditional Hard Drive bays that can also handle All-In-One Liquid Coolers. I really wanted something that looked clean, offered more than 1 or 2 Hard Drive bays, could handle Liquid Cooling, and didn't have all the unnecessary RGB LED's. This Computer Case mostly checked all my boxes and can certainly be built to be subtle or as all out flashy as you want it to be. It has plenty of room for cable management and the materials feel super high quality. The front I/O has USB-C and plenty of USB 3 and USB 2 connections. It used up all the header connections on my motherboard which is great. I don't feel like it left anything on the table as far as the features on my motherboard are concerned.I'll certainly be looking into more Fractal Computer Cases for my future purchases.
