Holy crap was this a pain in the butt to install. You have to take the motherboard out of your case. Then if your motherboard has a heat sink near where the screws are, you would have to remove that heat sink. That's if it's removable. After removing it, you have to place your ram sticks first. There is no way you'll be able to put the ram sticks in after putting this monster of a air cooler. Ram sticks first then this air cooler. After that's done and it runs, boy does it do a good job at cooling your Threadripper. Better than the Enermax AIO had on it. My AIO died on me less than two years of having it and so I switched to air. So far so good.

This cooler works well for first gen threadripper. Keeps the temps down and is quiet. I do not overclock so I can not say if it works well for overclocking.

I bought this to replace a Entermax AIO that had corrosion and overheating problems. It took me several hours to install this heatsink. I have a Meshify C case with an MSI X399 motherboard. The biggest problem is that the heatsink obscures the mount screws needed to properly attach it to the CPU. They give you a special wrench to help with this, but there is no room in the case to allow you to do this with the motherboard inside. As a hint to people who buy this, you should probably declip the fans. It makes installing the heatsink easier. I would recommend that you install the RAM before you do the heatsink, it does get in the way of the RAM slots on my motherboard.Once I had the cooler attached and reseated everything, it appears to work great. I am not getting the ~33 C temps when my AIO was new, but I don't have to worry about it failing. Temps seem to range from 38C under light load to 58C under heavy load. I have 4 case fans with these temperatures and used the paste that came with the cooler.

The cooler is great in performance, the Huge heat sink keeps low temperature without fan Throttling. The aesthetics looks awesome. However, the installation process is quite difficult.First of all the space to screw in the mounting is too tight and needs a lot small rotations. The LED for two fans connect on one wire which then connects to the RGB controller, these connects are very loose and need delicacy. I had to rewire them at the very end because a very slight force would undo the wires. this caused me to have the RGB Wire hanging causing a ugly look to the cable Management.TIPS FOR INSTALLATION:1. Make sure that your heat sinks for RAM are not too high as there is very little space when installing this cooler.2. you will need a molex connector for the RGB controller.3. the RGB on the fans is not customizable with the software. also the RGB controller doesn't come with a infrared remote so you will have to open the case from the back to change the LED effect. SO always keep the RGB controller on top of other wires. ( this wasn't mentioned in the Manual and i had to require the whole system to make a decent place for the controller). The RGB controller doesn't have a magnetic/ sticky back so its hanging, and the RGB Controller ports are a bit loose so make sure to support the Molex wire with one of the bigger chunks of your cable management to reduce the tension on the wire.
