ID-COOLING IS-47K Low Profile CPU Cooler for Intel/AMD 47mm Height AM4 CPU Cooler 6 Heatpipes CPU Air Cooler 92mm PWM Fan

I used this CPU cooler to put together a micro-ITX 8-Liter build with a 93-watt Intel i7 4Ghz chip. Earlier in the build I had a larger, traditional CPU cooler running. It cooled the chip but didn't fit in the case. This super low-profile cooler fits! It has less than 1mm clearance from the hard drive caddy -- see the pictures, the HDD basically sits right on top of the CPU cooler. But it fits! The CPU runs maybe 5-degrees Celsius hotter than before (and I'm running Virtual Machines and video streaming tools concurrently), but still well within acceptable temperature limits.I'm impressed both by how well thought through the install package is, and how glove-like this cooler fits onto this motherboard and case.The one caveat is that I do need a right-angle adapter for the 19-pin USB3.0 header. But that's because the cable has this huge honkin plastic socket. The cooler rests above it, so a low-profile adapter is needed. But that's not a big deal.Also, the CPU putty they include seems great, and has a pleasant grape flavor.

Bought 12/26/20. Computer built two weeks later. Started making noise in December of 21. I had emergency open heart surgery and had other things to deal with. It was always so quiet (before it started making noise) I didn't think much f it when it totally stopped making noise. Took the case apart and noticed that one of the fins was broken off and locking up the fan so it wasn't turning. The computer was running on passive cooling alone (which was kind of impressive).But its a bummer it didn't last longer.

Overall the IS-47k is a very easy to install cpu cooler. However its important to note that if you want to swap fans on the cooler it must be done pre-install. There is no way to change the fan after mounting it on the cpu. Personally i swapped the stock fan over to a Noctua slim 92mm fan and it works perfectly. The mounting system also seems a bit sketchy as the cooler is held to the cpu with 4 thumbscrews on the backside of the motherboard. Its simple, but i would rather have a backplate with screws to mount everything. I have it installed in a Velka 7 with a 2600X and RTX 2070 Super and have had 0 issues with thermal throttling

This fan ... Is like, just a smidge to big for the Deskmini. Yes you can slide it in the case but the heatsink presses up against the power and led plugs at the front of the case. you can screw it in but the front ports are offset. I think this fan is awesome though and I do recommend it. Just not for the Deskmini.
