I use this cooler with my Ryzen 7 3700X CPUs and I added an additional fan (Noctua NF-P12 redux-1700 PWM, High Performance Cooling Fan, 4-Pin, 1700 RPM (120mm, Grey)) on the other side of the heat sink. Neither fan is noisy at all. I cannot hear them over background noise. This cooler is tall, so check your case width. It does have an off-center mount so the heat spreaders on my RAM do not bang onto the cooler spreader. So far, I have not had any problems with the Myugen on either of my builds.Oh! And it comes with a screwdriver and thermal compound pastePros: Really cool (literally and style wise) Not loud. Even with a second fan. (I also bought Noctua NA-SAVP1 Anti-Vibration Pads for 120/140mm Fans) Offset cooling Heatsink clears RAM modules (check your own ram height requirements) FREE mounting screwdriver for the mounting screws. (And a very nicely made one - you know like how they USED to make them - clear handle, weighted shaft, slightly magnetized tip, solid tip that does not shred when trying to screw in a screw, etc.) AMD (AM4/Ryzen) and INTEL (LGA151) mounting hardware included (check your CPU/MB specs for compatibility) Fantastic price. You won't have to be afraid of a water cooler accident in your PC.ADVISEMENTS (Not CONS, because I love this cooler): It is tall, so check your case. If you have tall heat spreaders on your RAM, check your specs. It is heavy, but the motherboard and case backplate support it well. Just be careful. I did not see any undue stress when mounting either of my Scythe Myugen Rev. Bs in either build, but make sure you have the motherboard standoffs underneath to support the weight. You may find yourself giggl...er... laughing at how easy to install and wicked this cooler looks on your board. I did, and almost drooled on it. Almost literally drooled. No lights on the stock cooler or fan for flashy RGB fanatics. Flashy colours aren't my thing, but FYI in case they are yours.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

For reference: Ryzen 3800x, Gigabyte Aorus Pro Wifi, EVGA 1080TI Hybrid SC2, 32GB 3600 Corsair Vengeance, Sabrent 1tb NVME 4.0, Coolermaster H500. Warm to Hot/Tropical ClimateChecked out some reviews from tech sites and YouTube that compared this CPU cooler to others that were similar and the results were great - especially for the price. I usually don't like to 'settle' for parts like CPU cooling, but this seemed legit and it was available for under $50.This CPU cooler is huge, but very easy to install. The fan looks aren't great or bad very neutral and would complement most black cases or white cases. The heat sink itself looks classy and tough at the same time. I like it, but my last 2 builds were AIO's so take that with a grain of salt.Maybe it's just my hearing, but it's very silent and I don't really hear anything even under load. The GPU fan on the radiator is louder. The Mugen5 looks and feels premium and keeps my 3800x cool. CPU is idling at 36-37C and (so far) I got as high as 68.6C after running a stress test about 10+ mins. Need to tweak/test some more, but initial results are great. Best part is the price and it already had the AM4 mounts included. With all the posts I've seen with people having high temps on Ryzen 3000 series, I'm very happy with this cooler. This is a great value and an easy recommendation.Edit: Using this CPU cooler for about a month now. The CPU still idles around 37 with Thermal Grizzly, but now cools off faster after moving the GPU radiator to the top. Better temps all around within the case and the GPU temp dropped significantly.

Pardon the pun, but I don't normally get all fired up about reviews for computer parts, but this is definitely worth a 5 star review. I've been building PCs for nearly 10 years, and I've worked with all kinds of cooling solutions, but I always liked the look of AIO liquid cooling and thought that since they were liquid they had to be more effective at cooling. After having issues with a couple of Corsair AIO pumps, I am fully convinced this is one of the best solutions available. I put this on an old 4770K which never really maintained a stable overclock with my previous 240mm Corsair AIO. When the pump failed I decided to give this a shot. The similar Noctuas require much larger clearance, so at a height of 155mm this fits in almost all cases.I was absolutely shocked at the performance. The 4770K isn't the greatest overclocking CPU in my experience, but I was able to easily maintain a 4.5Ghz OC at 1.225v on a Maximus Hero board. Further, under load, it doesn't go beyond 70-75C which is insane. The design and installation are excellent, and a really nice touch from Scythe was to include a long screwdriver with a magnetic tip which not only makes this install easy, but I've been using it for all of my builds as it is perfect for installing motherboard screws. So I've officially switched completely to air cooling, and I'll be using this cooler exclusively going forward given the price point and performance. There just isn't a better value out there. The fact that this is $10 more than a CM Hyper 212 as of this review is absolutely insane as there is zero comparison between the two.I prefer the fan colors vs Noctua's, and the fins are sturdy. This cooler is legit. In terms of installation my only comment would be to newer builders - if you don't have a lot of experience installing your own CPU cooler my best advice is to use a 2-3mm drop of thermal paste in the middle of the processor. DON'T use too much. Probably the most common mistake you can make, and too much will decrease performance.Other than that, blow your fins out every 6 months or so depending on how quickly dust accumulates in your case, and I'd recommend re-applying thermal paste once/yr if you are overclocking. Probably don't even need to do that if you aren't overclocking. One final note on air cooling vs liquid. While I've heard horror stories about leaking, I don't think that problem is nearly as common failing water pumps. Pump issues can be really difficult to diagnose, so you may not even know that is what is causing the performance issues. Also, once your pump goes you need a whole new system if you use a retail AIO solution. The beauty of air cooling is that if you have a problem with a fan, just replace it for $15. The maintenance and long term reliability is so much better with this option than liquid. Custom loops are more effective and look great, but they are also 10x the cost. The performance, look and reliability of this product is pretty awesome, and the little touches from Scythe have made me a lifer.
