I am a big fan of heat pipe coolers. Water cooling may be all the rage, but unless you are doing insane overclocking, water cooling is overkill and eventually that water cooler WILL leak and cause you major problems. This cooler is quiet, temperatures are low with a Ryzen 5 4500. Installation was simple, apply the supplied thermal compound, hook the loop with no thumb pad over the catch, line up the other side and push down on the thumb pad until it latches into place. The ARGB looks nice as well.

Bought this to replace a Cooler Master unit that had a seized fan (fortunately my CPU didn't burn up). The hardest part during installation was removing the Cooler Master mounts, which had standoffs fastened with nuts on the bottom of the mainboard. The ThermalTake unit has no screws and is universal - look at the one-sheeter for how to line up the base, position on the mainboard, and insert tension pegs. Clip the fan to the heatsink fins, snap on to the base, done.Yes, it includes thermal grease. And yes, it supports motherboard lighting headers, or as in my case with an older board, it lights up and does a rainbow swirl. My wife even commented on how nice it looked and normally she's the type to say "more lights?" with that "are you crazy" tone.Bottom line, this cooler is a win. Does what it says, has universal compatibility, and everything you need is in the box.

Got this cooler on sale but even at full price it's worth the money. Mounting the cooler was fairly simple. Attaching the fain was a bit more of a challenge but not too difficult. The larger fan turns slower so it's quieter even with plenty of airflow plus the slower rotation speed doesn't pack dust into the cooling fins. One caveat is the light controller isn't compatible with all motherboards so you can't control the light on the fan.

First of all this unit is quite big folks. The CPU is maintained like in a freezer. I replaced the current stock cooler for amd Ryzen 1700x as it was too noisy. Got with the heat sink paste. Installing with sausage fingers to the locking mechanism was a pain. Too little space and puts pressure on the CPU/MB. Once installed it snapped well. Not letting the CPU go over 55 deg C while with the stock it used to upto 70deg C when the fan used to kick in big time. For now it's working like a refrigerator for my CPU and looks good with LEDs colorful. Will update in future if anything extraordinary were to be noticed.
