Pros: Great features, 16 GB DDR4 ram running @3200, good audio, Intel LAN, M2, Ryzen 1700X. My first overclock on the 1700x from 3.4GZ to 3.9GZ worked the first try with the MB default voltage, I am sure I can go higher pretty easy but why? Changed to XMP Profile in the bios Ram came in at a perfect 3200mhz!Cons: MB could use a couple more fan headers. My ASRock MB came with the first bios release, I recommend the USB flash. This is an excellent motherboard.

Very nice, has room for upgrades, lots of room, got running right out of the box, i did have to clear CMOS, BIOS worked and it has update features

So I opted for this board over a few others due to its specific price range more than its features, and that might have been a mistake but it does what I need it to do. Four stars for the fan header placement.I just upgraded from a Gigagbyte 990FX-A to this board and from an 8350 to a R5 1600. It was a decent upgrade considering the cost of the 990 series board was 200 used or refirb since NLA.What I like.Adequately cooled. Decent spacing. Adequate IO.Adequate spacing from CPU to PCI slot. My Gigabyte board was so tightly spaced despite being a full ATX that the CPU drew in hot air off the GPU because it had no where else to go. With this board there was plenty of space between the heatsink and dual slot 390x.Black PCB is nice. I really wish /most/ PCBs were black and not green. What I disliked, which is a small list.Top left screw in my NZXT Phantom Black(1st gen) was a p.i.t.a. to get into the hole. The IO "shield" along with the heatsink made it extremely difficult to get the screw in, and even with a pair of tweezers it was difficult. That said someone with a larger case, or different spacing might not have this problem.Fan pins are severely lacking and improperly placed. This is the BIGGEST headache. My rear exhaust fan for the CPU had no header to attach to other than the "dual" fan header for a CPU heatsink with two fans. Sure this works, but it also means that fan will alternate speeds depending on the processor temperature.... which can be good or annoying depending. There are NO chassis fan headers on the top left of the board where MOST cases have a rear exhaust fan, and some have a top exhaust fan(like mine, but it is routed to a controller).Next "Cha-fan2" and Cha-fan3" are located on the bottom middle of the motherboard. These headers are too far away to be utilized by ANY fan other than side or bottom chassis fan. The ONLY fan header that can be properly utilized is "Cha-fan1" which is right and middle near the SATA ports, and that said it's still too far for the rear out fan to reach.--I have had many motherboards and this is the first one I've bought that has had such... weird fan header placement. Though if you have a fan controller then this is likely a non-issue for you.Another thing. While I like the black PCB the markings on top of the board are nearly illegible regardless of lighting. Putting on the pins for the front IO and buttons was irritating to say the least. It would have been nice for these to be in a grey, or white like the /fan/ headers.. instead they were gloss black.... why? Just why.--To add a small thing. The manual gives a diagram, but instead of just labeling it all on the same page it makes you flip back/forth to verify which pins are what.RAM slots were... very difficult to seat. The amount of pressure I had to apply was making me worry at damaging the sockets. It was simply FAR more than I've ever applied with another ram stick. Maybe this was intentional? I do not know.A small thing is the chokes are not completely... straight... see image... this is an OCD thing for me and it made me think I damaged the board on install, but was a manufacturer thing 100%Came with 4 SATA cables with 6 ports, to which was odd. Came with 2 90* and 2 straight SATA cables instead of all 90* cables... not sure why. Again OCD.Wish there was a blue option.Build.Ryzen 5 1600Coolermaster Heatsink(the 20 dollar one, yes really, idles at 28C with Diamond 7)Power Color 390xPatriot Viper 2666 16gbAdata 128gb SSD BootPrevious.FX8350Coolermaster Heatsink(same 20 dollar)Gigabyte 990FX-A UD3Power Color 390xG.Skill 1866 16gbOverall? It's a 370 series motherboard at a good price. I opted for this over MSI because of that.

My i7 3770 setup I bought 5 years ago was growing long in the tooth and the motherboard was slowly dying as well. I was very glad to see AMD back in the game and was really looking forward to switching back due to the price/performance of Ryzen. This motherboard has a lot of nice features and seems to get fairly regular Bios updates despite it being an "older" chipset. It doesn't have crazy overclocking settings like my last board, but I didn't really mind. I was still able to get a stable 4.1ghz overclock without much effort and am running 16 gbs of g.skill memory @ 3200mhz as well. It works and that's all I really ask for.A word of caution though - if you're still using an older image of Windows 10 like I was, then the first thing you'll want to do is go to Microsoft's website and get their latest version. I don't remember the exact build, but the copy I was using was probably 2 years old and completely unstable with Ryzen. I almost thought the motherboard was faulty until I did a bit of researching, so save yourselves a headache.
