This is an entry-level Z490 board. It is terrible for overclocking. First of all, its claimed 10-phase VRM does not cool down when i7-10700k is slightly overclocked. i7-10700K cannot be stable at 5.0GHZ on this board (even with liquid cooling and a case with good air flow). Another board (also entry-level) can have an i7-10700k stable at 5.2GHZ, with VCORE at 1.38, and under air-cooling (dark rock pro 4), inside the same case. Secondly, and also very surprisingly, the back I/O shield does not line up correctly with the board. To use the USB ports and HDMI port, one has to push hard to bend the shield (or the board). This is totally unacceptable. Then one needs to dissemble everything to pull out this board to have a return. A huge disappointment, considering the time involved. And why would one have a Z-board if it is not used for over-clocking?

This product was absolutely horrible it makes me sick, I couldn’t even run the pc because of this motherboard waisting me time and money just so it wouldn’t work, now I have to buy a new motherboard and everything

Low quality VRMs cause clock-throttling and instability even on stock CPUs. This would be acceptable on a budget board, not a Z490 board that only exists to take advantage of overclocking.

This motherboard is not good for overclocking my i7 10700k. Very dissatisfied with what it said on its website.
