This has been my go to board for all 10th Gen cpu systems I've built. Great quality and feature set, excellent design and build quality.ASRock has been my business workstation mainboard brand solely used for the last 5 years, having used Asus for a decade before and occasionally Gigabyte and MSI. Their quality has been on par with the SuperMicro boards I use exclusively for Dual Xeon CAD workstations and small 2U-4U Windows 2019 Servers.

I've been using this board heavily for about a month and haven't had a single issue. If you have a non-K CPU without overclocking capabilities, this board has a great feature to raise the base clock to higher than stock speeds when enabled. The 10700 can run steady at 4.2GHz with this feature vs 2.9Ghz normally, so it can really increase the value of your CPU. Just make sure you have the latest BIOS update and adequate cooling. The board is feature-rich - my only wish is that it had optical out out!

This is the motherboard they sent me. Most definitely not the one I bought. Way different from pic. It works fine amd does what it needs to but I'm giving it a 1 star because this is not the motherboard I ordered.

I bought the ASRock Z490M- Pro4 with a 10700K. I bought it for a Vanilla Hack but have been unsuccessful for the past 5 days. I installed Windows10 on it and it installed almost perfect with a lot of unknowns in the device manager- with most important an unknown NIC. I didn't try the included drivers disk as I haven't used a cd/dvd in a long time. Added an Intel 1000e nic and installed all the updates from MS and ASRock. Windows 10 ran very well without any problems. I didn't try it with Windows Server yet, but I would be surprised if there were any problems. Mint Linux 20 ran well with spotty reboots. I installed it on a USB. Although it is a freebee Linux, I wasn't expecting random reboots. Don't know why. Ubuntu ran flawless without any reboots or hiccups.Mojave or Catalina were a NO GO--- being stuck on +++++++++++++++++ using verbose mode. Tried both Tony and Opencore. Opencore got further with a reboot loop after 30 seconds. I didn't try ClearOS I tried it with DDR4 starting a 4gb @2133 and it worked. It worked up to my fastest available HyperX 32gb 3200 kit. It was not picky with RAM which is a blessing. Used NVMe with WD Black 500gb and a cheap Inland 256gb. Both ram without any issues. Thunderbolt 3 worked with the Asus TB3 card from eBay. No issues at all. This is a bored IT guy stuck at home kind of review. It is as thorough of a test as I could give with the hardware I had. Hope it helps.
