This motherboard is a primo piece of work. I looked for about 5 minutes for the layout piece which generally goes in the back of the case to align the peripherals, only to find out it's built into the actual motherboard. I also use their monitors which if you need customer support, it is top notch and they take care of you. Works like a beast and always use ASUS for all my computer needs.

Needs an update to the latest BIOS for stability, but once that's done it works well. The board is quiet (this was important to me) and runs the threadripper well.

I used the Corsair Dominator 1600 MHz memory sticks. 128 gigs total. Because the memory sticks were a little bit too large, I end up using the Noctus thin fans rather than the regular fan. Notice how the fans slide down a little bit which results in air flowing directly over the memory sticks. One fan on each side, obviously configured so that they are blowing the same direction. The box is a little bit noisy, and so I put it in a ventilated cabinet.

I've used Asus for my last 3 builds and the quality has been good. This Mobo booted on the first try, with 64 GB Crucial memory and so far not a bad thing has happened.I bought this for a workstation, paired with an AMD 3960X and a Quadro RTX; so far it has been stable during rendering. Hope it lasts just like my X79 Sabertooth that is still operating.
