Bought this board back in Feb 2019 as I was working towards purchasing all my parts for a new rig. This build was a complete overkill build which is what I wanted to compared to my previous build from about 8 years ago. Shipping was quick and no issues with the packaging. Motherboard was surprisingly heavy and sturdy. No issues with putting build together outside of one important item that seems to be related to ASUS boards. Once the build is complete and you are installing Windows it may crash upon trying to complete the installation process. I had this issue and after some searching online I found out that it has to do with the drivers with the wifi/ethernet drive. you have to disable them in the bios in order for it to finish and not crash on installation in windows. The motherboard packaging does come with a one sheet that references this issue but I didn't realize it was the same issue until after i fixed it. You will have to update the bios and the drivers on the board so this issue is resolved. Once everything is updated there were no further issues or crashes. Board looks great and the rgb lighting on the board itself is nice or you can turn it off if you do not like rgb. Only real downside with this motherboard has to do with the price. Motherboard prices are getting out of hand but if you want to purchase top of the line items then you know what you are getting yourself into with the x299 platform. Love the motherboard and the platform even with the price tag.

Great motherboard! It is my second ROG Rampage motherboard and I am impressed. With a couple 2080 RTX GPU cards, an AOI CPU water cooler, industrial Noctua fans and a good CPU--the machine is a beast. Pros: High performance and great quality. Cons: Open box, high price tag, and some minor kinks like Gamefirst V (heating up one of my CPU cores and working it to 100%) and the front audio jack not working well (not sure why for both, despite efforts to correct the problems like contacting Asus).

I havent call tech support yet because of time but I am kind upset because I did what they recommend to install the internet driver and my speed can't go faster that 20 mb/s when I have a 200mb/s service. I have tested with my other pc and phone and connections are close to 200 mb/s so I read some review and this motherboard has this issue. I couldn't find anything good on internet yet on how to fix this issue but beside that it's a great motherboard!!!

I put this board in with an I9 9980XE, 32 mb ddr4 4266 RAM, Samsung SSD970 EVO 2TB M.2 SSD and a GeForce RTX 2080TI. I am very pleased. One lesson learned, I bought it refurbished and had to return it because it wouldn’t post and had one bad memory channel which is why I love amazons return policy. The second one I bought new and it works great. So far, this board exceeds my expectations.
