..so, reviews of PC parts and especially motherboards is just a snapshot of Murphys law. some ppl have bad luck but mostly, any issues are probably ppl doing things incorrectly. you have to do something pretty overtly over-the-top dumb to fry something via static, but im sure some ppl manage to do exactly that. haha. built my new gaming desktop on my bedroom floor trying not to wake up my GF, i simply couldn't wait. no problems. the board is great in the sense that its pretty good value for money and if you get a 6850K like i did, you'll have more than enough juice. plenty of PCIE lanes for bells and whistles later. i really dunno what the hell all these other people's problem is. maybe theyre just not.. careful? i did however wear nitrile rubber gloves. no ESD strap or anything like that, no.. like i said i was like a kid on xmas morning pulling stuff outta packages and putting things together sitting on my carpeted floor. because i'm dumb, i suppose. heads up, the lighting effect of the board itself persists even when the pc is completely powered off. its a slow breathing effect. doesnt bother me but others may not be down with that.

Fantastic MOBO. Bios was easy to navigate. Manual was easy to read. Zero issues what so ever. If you looking for a solid, easy to OC mobo and not pay 300+ bucks. This is it. Recognized my Samsung 950 Pro no issues no problems. Built my new comp from the scratch up, booted first try, installed OS. Easy peasy. Highly recommend.

If you think it is rgb....it will make you disappoint.Only three light hehind the pci-e....very small, if there is no mistake with my driver setting.Just treat it as a lowest price x99 motherboard, dont think too much. If you want lights, pay more attention to led fans and graphic card.
