EDIT--- June 24th 2022 (~4 years later)She's still runnin 24/7.The onboard CPU power components have not turned purple from heat treating yet.I use it as a desktop over 14 hours every day too.Add USB-C 3.1 to my list of 'must have' below. I did'nt know I "needed" it back then, LOL.I'm still a happy camper and I can resist old habit of upgrading CPU/MoBo every 3-4 years.END OF EDIT------------I got the bug for an 8th generation build and I'm glad I chose this H370 mobo.My must have criteria was:microATX,DVI,HDMI,DP,M.2 PCIe x4,4 RAM slotsI like Gigabyte motherboards, I have a few.It might not be a co-inky-dink that what I want at a price I'm willing to pay often comes from Gigabyte. My Gigabyte Z77/i7-3770 took many years of 24/7 abuse before it became 'heat sensitive' LOL.My Gigabyte X58A /i7-950 is still kickin ass and takin names with it's 3 channel RAM.(seriously a December2010 i7-950 with a decent GPU still runs most games @1080 or better with mid/high settings in 2018, on a single GPU!)I'm only getting 2677MHz with '3000MHz' RAM but other RAM reviews indicate it is a simple BIOS upgrade to XMP 'one click OC' the RAM. If you can download to a USB thumb drive and reboot you can update your BIOS.I'll update if there is an issue.I did not need or want UEFI BIOS, it is easy to disable it for "legacy" applications.I did not need or want any eye candy RGorB LEDs inside my case, easy to disable in BIOS.I don't think it cost me more $$$ for those un-needed features.I run Slackware Linux on mine, most of the driver info needed is in the INCLUDED PRINTED MANUAL!The LAN flavor "i219V LAN" info I got from the Amazon description.windoze needs 'drivers' too, but for Linux they don't come on a disk in the box. Many Linux distro's already have the needed kernel modules installed.Compiling a custom bleeding edge (currently Linux-4.19)kernel for this mobo was straightforeward.I do run doze on it too, in a VM with a bare metal PCIe 16x GPU passed to the virtual machine from Linux. The best of both worlds, without rebooting, for months at a time! :)I have not tested everything under heavy load yet, I'll update this review if I run into any 'issues'.I'm not saying it's right for everyone but I'm a happy camper!

My only change to this board would be to add heatsinks to the VRMs. However, I tried to overheat the VRMs in the finished computer and failed, staying below 86C with a torture load. This board is for people who want a nice computer and no overclocking, just install the parts and go. Be care fully of the NVMe slots, the full speed one is not where you expect it and the second one is only a half speed.

Works well I have trust gigabyte for so many years still the same great quality

If you want a good motherboard without all of the bells and whistles of more expensive motherboards this is a great value, I bought this motherboard and put a core I-5 9600k on it and it works great. I got the K version of the CPU even though this board will not overclock because the K processors are 15% faster than the non K versions. If you are not into overclocking this board is a great value
