I used a regular SSD rather than m.2 for the boot drive, which is plenty fast enough for me. I'm not a gamer, but I like a quick boot and fast startup of apps. I wanted to install a graphics processor that supports dual monitors, so the limited video ability on the board did not concern me.ProsSupports up to 6 internal SATA devices.Inexpensive for the capabilities.Supports Intel Gen 8 CPUs.CPU stays very cool with liquid cooler.Lots of USB ports. The headphone jack works fine for me. For a headphone with mic, you have to plug one lead into the headphone jack and the other into the mic jack.ConDoes not have built-in wireless internet, so I had to buy a PCI-E card for that.

I've had it for a year now it works really well and has all the right ports. 2 board mounted USB 3 ports make it even more versatile. It's been very stable, great board.

Honestly not too much to say about this board. It does absolutely everything I could want it for, bus speeds are fantastic for most consumer uses, sound chip is appropriately powerful, (and the machine I have this on is for music production as-well-as gaming!) sensible sturdy design and great troubleshooting with the on-board readout and Gigabyte customer support. Overall I highly recommend this board to those willing to spend a premium price for a premium board. (That isn't going to be used to calculate the septentrigentillionth decimal of pi...)

I purchased this board as it was on the lower end of price and supports SLI. I was not expecting it to be this good.Pros:1- Super easy to install. I installed Win10 64 bit, then updated the bios. After reboot, the board recognized the XMP rating on Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 CMK16GX4M2B3000c15 ram (v5.39). Ram is running at 3060.2- Bios has "Advanced Multi-Core Performance" located in the M.I.T. section in the bios. When turned on, it clocks all cpu cores at the maximum 2 core Turbo Boost frequencies based on your cpu. I have an i5-8400 so no cpu overclocking but board showing 3.8 turbo clock on all cores. I could not get cpu to turbo to 4.0 no matter what I tried.3- Audio is as good as any integrated solution.Cons: No optical out for audio on back panel.
