I run 2 of these kits in a low end ASUS MB, currently can't get a working ASUS-E WS, had 2, both 00 code no post so they are in an ASUS X99-A currently. Which the ASUS X99-A is a pretty sweet MB even though its on the lower end. Makes me wonder now if I even need a high end one other than maybe life span but I can buy close to two of the lower end for 1 higher end anyway.ProsNice lookingApproved and works with ASUS MBs, 4 or 8 sticks (1 or 2 kits, 2 in my case).Runs solid at rated speeds, 2666, you just have to manually OC.64GB works with 2 different kits, I kept each kit in the same color/memory bank so they didn't mix and had a better chance working together. They didn't sell a single kit with 64GB but should (I think they might now).ConsRuns hot really need the Corsair Air cooler not included in the kit and should beWon't run auto XMP in new X99 MBs not just me many people have complained. May not be the memory or may but should have worked closer together with the MB manufacturers to insure this simple feature works. Not getting my rated speeds with XMP enabled (basically MBs won't post when XMP enabled to get rated speeds). Auto XMP has always worked for me in the past first time it hasn't ever over many many years of sticking true to Corsair.Manually OCing the CPU and memory (Been a few years since I did this so had to brush up my skills) I was easily able to get 4000MHz on the CPU and 2666MHz on the memory. These are very modest OCs with low voltages that I can run 24x7 I wasn't trying to set any records and I had 1 boot failure OCing which in the past I had many. The 1 failure was uping the BCLK which actually I ended up leaving at 100 at the end of the day and just bumping the multiplier. Very sweet and easy to do. I haven't tried to tighten the timings yet but I suspect that shouldn't be too hard and from what I read the third tier is where you get the most bang now days which is interesting.I am a very happy camper and highly recommend this memory it is awesome.System specs:Intel Core i7-5960X Haswell-E 8-Core 3.0GHz LGA 2011-v3 140W Desktop Processor BX80648I75960XASUS X99-E WS (Currently ASUS X99-A waiting on RMA)2x EVGA 04G-P4-2988-KR GeForce GTX 980 Classified 4GB SLI2x Corsair DOMINATOR® Platinum Series 32GB (4 x 8GB) DDR4 2666 (PC4-21300) 2666MHz C15 memory kit for DDR4 Systems (CMD32GX4M4A2666C15)2x Samsung 850 Pro 512GB 2.5-Inch SATA III Internal SSD (MZ-7KE512BW) RAID 02x Intel 730 Series SSDSC2BP480G4R5 2.5" 480GB SATA 6Gb/s MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) RAID 02x HGST Deskstar NAS H3IKNAS40003272SN (0S03664) 4TB 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" High-Performance Hard Drive for Desktop NAS Systems Bare Drive RAID 1ASUS PB287Q 28-Inch Screen LED-Lit 4K MonitorAPC SMC1500 1440VA 900W UPSCooler Master Nepton 280L - PC CPU Liquid Water Cooling System, All-In-One Kit with 280mm Radiator and 2 JetFlo FansAntec TPQ-1200 1200W Continuous Power with PowerCache Technology SLI Ready CrossFire Certified 80 PLUS SILVER Certified Modular Active PFC Power SupplyCooler Master HAF X - Full Tower Computer Case with High Airflow Windowed Side Panel and USB 3.0IC Diamond TIMAccell UltraAV B142C-007B-2 DisplayPort to DisplayPort 1.2 Cable with Locking Latches (6.6ft /2m)Mad Catz R.A.T.9 Gaming MouseRazer BlackWidow Ultimate Mechanical PC Gaming Keyboard

RAM is currently very expensive. Unfortunately the universe doesn't care and my 18 month old Crucial RAM started acting up. A such I found myself buying a new kit and I chose these. They look good and at 3200Mhz the get close to the max speed my X99 board can handle. I am sure its all in my head by it feels faster than my 2400Mhz kit it replaced. I popped in 2 of these 2x8gb kits for 32Gb quad channel and it worked with zero problems, zero configuration. Nice! I am happy with the kit and would buy again if I had to.If you've never used these before (like me) you'll be shocked by their height. I am using a Dark Rock Pro 3 which is absolutely massive. Since I am using a board with 8 slots, the 4 recommended RAM slots conveniently dodge my giant CPU cooler. I did have to readjust the fan, but it hasn't impacted cooling. All this is to say I cannot fill all 8 slots unless I switch to liquid cooling or an inadequate air solution. Unless RAM prices come down its highly unlikely I'll be doing that anyway. Just be sure you've got the clearance.

These sticks are big. Bigger than your average RAM sticks. It almost didn't let my NZXT Kraken fit the right way but by some miracle I got them to fit. The RAM looks nice and has a faint white light shining on the fins. I personally enjoy the look and feel of high profile RAM and I had great experiences with Corsair RAM in the past. My only concern is for people buying this and making it fit in their case. If you have a NZXT Kraken or a air cooler be careful as you might not be able to make it to fit. Otherwise, once again Corsair has impressed me very well.

I was not sure what to expect with all the fancy DDR4 memory modules that have come out over the last year. I was using an i5-2500K with 8GB of DDR3. I didn't really know what to choose. Checking the compatibility with the motherboard and the reviews is what got me to this RAM. I am running this on an Asrock Z270 Extreme 4. The RAM overclocked to 3000MHz just fine. XMP detected the capable speed right off the bat. One thing I was quite surprised with was the white lighting on these sticks. In a way, it is subtle, but also stands out when the room is dark. They are tall, but they do fit under a Noctua NH-D15. I would recommend this RAM to anyone. It works great and it looks awesome. Thank you, Corsair.
