I'm using this RAM on an Asrock x370 Killer SLI/AC, which is one of the first AM4 motherboards, although I have a 3000-series CPU installed. I am not able to achieve 3600MHz, but I can get very close, but I'm not taking a star off for that since it is probably caused by this old board. With the older 2000-series CPU I could not get it to run beyond about 2800 MHz. I have not tested with a first-generation CPU but I would imagine the results would be similar to 2nd gen. Another thing to be aware of is that this memory is slightly taller than most other kits, so it might cause clearance issues with some heatsinks. With my old heatsink, it barely fit and was touching the heatsink, so I replaced the heatsink with a water cooler.

This kit is particularly good as it both has very low latency and runs well above IMC fabric speeds at 3600MT's. also it is stable on a 4 layer PCB's, and it is Samsung's renown B-die chips whats not to love? Honesty RAM factories should focus on these IC's to some degree for DDR4 from now on for their segmented lineups it is that good.

This type of RAM purchase is kind of a peace of mind purchase. You know going into it you're going to hit good numbers, and that may or may not be worth it for you.I've dialed in my ideal settings at 3600, with latency at 56ns as reported by AIDA64.I've spent a little time with 3800 and up to 3866 and am confident my sets can do that, although I'll top out at whatever my CPU is willing to do, most likely.

Performed excellent from the get-go, definitely a huge upgrade from my previous 2400MHz CL15 kit. I tightened down the timings on it from the stock 14-15-15-35 to 14-14-14-30 with no issues, I could probably push tRAS down a bit to 28 but I haven't tried yet, tRFC ran at 630 stock so I tightened that down to 350 though you could probably go even further to around 265-300 but I'd rather not risk bricking my OS. Overall a fantastic kit if you want top-notch performance and IMO the best looking RGB ram on the market.
