I game and use my desktop for virtualization of network environments so having more RAM is almost always better. In this case I wanted to upgrade from 32GB to 64GB to help with running my virtual images. I didn’t need top-of-the-line just more so this fit the bill perfectly. It arrived on time and was super easy to install. Booted up and hopped into the BIOS to make sure it was being recognized and it was off to the races. It’s been working great for the week that I’ve had it installed now. Would recommend!

I literally think the V designation is for the "value" line of memory that G.Skill offers and they deliver on that promise. Over the last few years more and more of the memory slots in my house are finding themselves with G.Skill Ripjaws V in them as I rotate out smaller capacity sticks. The fact that this product in particular is CL16 -- an important factor for performance -- compared to most of the other value oriented products on offer is a huge bonus, too. There may be cheaper ways to stick a reasonable 32G of DDR4 into a machine but none of the products at a cheaper price point offer the same tier of performance. Like most people I shop components around "bang for the buck" and this landed squarely in that sweet spot. The XMP profile worked perfectly on the first try with no tuning at all. Plop the sticks in, set XMP mode, and you're good to go on the first boot. Rock solid on MEMTEST86+.This particular purchase was stuck into a machine that I pretty much only play games on and for gaming this is an excellent choice. At CL16 and an upper-mid tier throughput I'm nowhere near bottlenecked by memory performance -- faster RAM wouldn't make anything actually go faster.Pros: Quality, price point, performanceCons: Ridiculously huge heat spreader would make V series memory very unsuitable for low profile installations. Avoid if you need to tuck memory under your CPU cooler, a large PCIe card, or in a low profile case.

I upgraded? from Trident NEO 16gb to this 32GB F4-3600C16-16GVKC. Baseline Passmark score 3493 however, my ram kit is smoking the numbers but getting lower score of 3486. does compare to my 3246 score on the Trident NEO... With the games i play eating up a bunch of ram it can get a bit cumbersome having other items open with 16gb of ram. So in that instance, YES it was an upgrade. performance wise i see little to get excited about. I found that having a bunch of items open to tab back and forth from were pushing my ram usage up and hence the upgrade. My system is 5700x3d, X570 AORUS ULTRA MB, Radeon RX 7900 XTX, NVMe Sabrent Rocket 4 1 TB so YMMV.
