I've been struggling along with 16Gb of RAM, but having Chrome (a disgusting memory hog who's memory use needs a total overhaul) often crash due to insufficient memory. I finally got my butt into gear and bought this 2 pack, upping the total RAM to 32Gb (who'd have though 15 years ago we'd be talking about this much RAM!!). Now, no crashes. I had an issue when I first installed the sticks. The builder of my computer, for some reason (I suspect for cooling) had put the existing RAM in slots 1 and 3. I first put the new RAM in 2 and 4 and the computer refused to boot. When I moved the old RAM to 1 and 2, and put the new RAM in 3 and 4, it fired up perfectly.

After 3 & 1/2 hours it passed Memtest86 with 0 errors found. Being that DDR4 is already on its way out the door I was worried I was gonna get some used junk but nope, works just fine. You get lucky sometimes. Thanks Amazon!

Item arrived properly packaged and in working order. My motherboard supports RAM speeds up to 3200 MHz, these modules are rated at 2666 MHz but run at 3200 MHz automatically without accessing the bios memory settings.

Swapped these two 8GB sticks for 2 old 4GB sticks to help power up the system as I upgraded an older unit to run Win11. Perfect companion to the SSD upgrade. System will now be adequate for a few more years of average use.
