I bought ram for first time ever to build my buildable PC and omg it was so easy to install. Works great 😃 the PC doesn't lag and speed is wonderful. This is a great brand for ram. Highly recommend for newbies trying to upgrade buildable PC.Great price as well.

I am doing a build for my sister and her family and wanted some "cheap" b die so I could play and tweak because that is half of the fun for me in doing a build.I am not sure what the deal is as the manufacture list this as " Tested Timings: 19-21-21-41" yet running Thaiphoon Burner, CPUZ or other software shows different timings for XMP. Maybe they do this so they can say they only guarantee 4000 19 21 21 for warranty purpose?Anyway I ordered my first kit and it was listed as "Condition: Used - Very Good - Item will come in original packaging. Packaging will be damaged." When I received it the shipping box was fine but inside the ram box itself was pretty much flat like it had been ran over by a car. I thought the ram would be in pieces but it looked OK after I opened it.One stick ended up being bad and would not let the computer boot,. But the stick that works show this is some very good ram. I have some 3200 14 and 4400 18 Gskill and this Viper 4 4000 is as good as those for high speeds and being able to tighten the timing with the one stick that I could test out.It is going to vary on your board and also memory/silicon lottery but the 1 working stick I did mess with a little did 4400 18 18 18 @ 1.4 easy. I didn't try higher but I might mess with it since I cant send it back until tomorrow with today being a holiday.I like this stuff so much i ordered another kit and I hope that both stick work on the new stuff because this is hard to beat for the performance and price of b die. I paid over $225 for the 4400 kit I have and $175 for the 3200 14 kit and this Viper will do the same or close for half the price. Also it has a nice solid heat sink in a neutral color. Not too tall so it still fits under the front fan on a BE Quiet Dark Rock Pro 4. Another killer deal that was listed as "damaged" but was like new and I scored off of Amazon warehouse for $51. What a deal!I know sometimes the used stuff can be junk but 99% of the time I have bought used from Amazon it looks like new and works perfectly and I have saved a lot over new.

I'm seeing a lot of reviews from people who don't know that they need to either enable XMP or manually set the speed, voltages, etc... Seriously guys, before you leave a bad review please know how to use the thing. The replacement kit is fantastic, works as advertising. The initial kit I was sent was pretty messy. If you are familiar with bad RAM-related issues there's no need to read further than this line, the kit was borked. I was sent a replacement that has had no issues and works great!Memtest86 errors all over the place after about 700-1000% saturation depending on the stick I had slotted in, some programs would simply terminate and I'd have to re-start them, while others would function fine. I spent the time from receiving the kit up until writing this review trying to get the "stable" advertised MHz from this kit. I just could not get it to work, even with 3 other completely different and compatible Ryzen computers, they wouldn't ever reach 3600MHz without crashing programs or the computers. I obviously tried every safe voltage configurations, it was semi-stable around 3400MHz but every ~50 minutes something weird would happen on the computer, like a program crashing.

I've been running this since I upgraded my system 3 years ago, and it's been running constantly since then. Whether gaming, editing videos, or just watching TV through a tuner card, it hasn't quit. I'm probably going to have to purchase more, because I have another computer here with bad RAM, and may have to donate half of mine to the other system.
