As others have said, this card DOES run hot, compared to SSDs that do not have RGBs.I have one of these housed in my, Corsair - 750D ATX Full Tower Case. I also have a, Kingston - SSDNow V300 Series 120 GB (non RGB), that I use for my Windows 10 boot drive, with nothing else on that pretty much. And the temps are as follows thus far, between the two, on average:Kingston - SSDNow V300 Series 120 GB (non RGB) - 29 CHyperX Fury RGB SSD 240GB - 41 CThat really is a difference. However I use the Hyper X RGB SSD for games that are known for having very long load times on HDDs, and I have not had any issues with it at all at this time, and I have been using this for over a month now.You really are paying for the looks of this SSD. The storage plays 2nd fiddle. This RGB SSD is meant to be seen, and with as many lights as they used, it really is nothing out there like it , that comes this close, in terms of how nice it looks.I will be buying another one, with greater storage capacity for my needs.

Purchased as another dedicated drive for games. Drive is fast as needed for that purpose, but if you're after speed for the money, you likely already know this is not the right drive for you, as there is some cheaper drives that outperform this drive, though for general purpose computing, and gaming, it's more than fast enough. The RGB aspect is this drives strong selling point, and looks great(would love to have a couple more for Raid setup). Overall this drive more than meets expectations. If you don't mind the extra $20-$30 for lighting effects, and sacrifice a small amount of performance, this is a pretty cool drive. If you're after sheer performance, you may look more toward the Crucial MX500 series.

I purchased this drive "new" and installed it first thing I noticed was there was no sata Cable after locating one and installing drive I realized that it had some data on it from a previous user for some reason so I don't know how much use this drive has had but I am hoping that it will last a while before failure.i recently just completed this project and performance seems to be good and rgb is really cool too.

If you want an SSD to look cool behind glass there are not many options as i write this review. This is the coolest one in my opinion. It is not the fastest SSD on the market but it has respectable read and write speeds compared to other SSD's. If you just want an SSD there are cheaper better options. If you want a cool RGB SSD. Look no farther.
