This nvme drive is really good and fast but unfortunately after using it for a little over a year it suddenly died quietly one day. Have been using it exclusively as a storage device for movies and games and not as a boot device. My mid tower case remains always cool and only occasionally play games so it wasn't like I was putting any kind of stress on it...I contacted customer support and they did a wonderful job of replacing my nvme drive quickly and efficently. I was hoping they would somehow revive my old dead drive so that I could save my movies but they sent me a new one instead which is still cool. I just want to say that custom support was really great and if anything wrong happens to your pioneer nvme drive, you re in good hands!

I bought a computer with a 1tb HDD and it was mind boggling slow compared to my laptop with an M.2 and I bought this to make my desktop faster. Boy did it. I cannot even believe the speed it gives it. Its quicker than my laptop with M.2 and I did not even know it would be possible. Great upgrade for the price. Absolutely great. I will be garunteed to update this if it doesn't hold up.

Considering the $160 price tag, I would expect a BAR OF GOLD and a heatsink with this NVME DRIVE ..... it came with neither so I went to another site and purchased the exact heatsink not only for an NVME but custom for my laptop and it was only $12.I paid $60 for this item from an amazon warehouse deal and I have no complaints with it. NVME And 2.$ SSD have come way down in price - the RRP or main price used on this drive is $160 - no idea why, it is just a SEAGATE drive with a PIONEER badge and the SEAGATE version is between $50 and $60 NATURAL PRICE so at the time of writing this review you would be paying $50 ish for the drive and $110 ish for the pioneer label if you purchased at the price of $160.So on May 2023 my advice is ... if you are reading this review and the price has dropped to compare with other NVME 1TB DRIVES ( Intel is currently $44 and amazingly fast and reliable) the going rate now is average of $50 to $60 for HIGH END 1TB NVME and $30 to $40 for cheaper brands like silicon power and TeamGroup - the 2 BEST of the inexpensive brands that come with excellent build quality etc )If you see this drive OVER $60 ..... avoid it .... go for INTEL or the original SEAGATE version of this drive , because that is what this is ... a SEAGATE with a PIONEER sticker on it.

I searched all around for an ssd for a while until I decided between this and the Muskin Pilot-E since they had similar speeds in the same price range. The speeds on this are absolutely as advertised and for the price I am very happy with the performance, and even happier that it meets spec. Very quick boot and file copying
