Installed easy with the Seagate Disc Wizard, works as Gen 2 SAS (Intel only officially supports Gen 1 on C606 chipset). Used as a real backup in home server with MTBF published unlike SATA drives.

Worked with no problem in a ds4246, but both drives came with high usage. One with 30k and the other with 20k hours, verified with seagate tools and smartctl.

Unfortunately these drives are known to fail under heavy load. They also run hot. However I'm unable to return them as I had to replace other failing drives.
