For the price, I honestly didn't have great expectations of this drive, presuming that it might perform just a slight bit better than a DRAM-less drives common in this price class. Generally, I've noticed that drives with DRAM tend to be sized in intervals of 128 GB and drives without DRAM sized in intervals of 120 GB, as they use the difference for overprovision and (slower) cache.I'm happy to report my expectations were incorrect. Although this drive does not deliver class-leading numbers, it's still a much better performer than say a Kingston A400 or Western Digital Green SSD and is competitive with drives like the AData SU800 and an older Samsung 840 Evo. The 3D NAND itself has been reported as being 32 layer from Intel; this is older technology and likely the key reason why this drive can be manufactured and sold at a lower cost.Regarding comments about its lack of speed or that this is a SATA 2 drive -- it is not. Make sure the proper BIOS setting and drivers have been installed; I tested mine on a older laptop that is solely SATA 2 and the much lower throughput is clear.Reliability is still a wildcard here; it's only been a couple months for me, but for the price and performance, I've been happy enough that I've purchased additional drives of different sizes to upgrade additional computers. Unless something drastic happens to multiple units in the future, it's 5 stars from me.ETA 11/09/19: All have been well since my first order from back in August. I've now added some benchmarks on a 120 GB and a 480 GB drive too. These ATTO benchmarks are attached now; the posted stats versus my test results are as follows:120 GB - 560 read/385 write posted. My results are 530 read/360 write.240 GB - 560 read/422 write posted. My results are 530 read/480 write480 GB - 330 read/320 write posted. My results are 530 read/450 write. Now that I've tested additional drives, I suspect it's my laptop's chipset/SATA interface that's limiting the read to about 530. I'll run some more tests the next time I do a desktop build.

I saw a few great review so I decided to give it a try. Very impressive for an inexpensive SSD. Sequential Reads around 545MB/s. When i compare against the top (Samsung 860 Pro) on Userbenchmark, it is 85% as fast. Now that is awesome. Jury is still out on durability.

We used this in my brother’s budget PC, and it’s a great little drive for the OS. I would recommend NVME if you have the money and the board, though.

It was recognized and usable after going through partitioning and formatting. It is large (240g) and fast enough for what I am using it for -- ongoing updating my work switching among various computers, at different places, while keeping duplicates of the progress in a larger HDD through one computer at home. Plan to carry this on the road with a lighter tablet-like notebook.
