These drives often go on sale (which is when I bought mine) and I can confirm they're definitely worth getting. I got mine as a secondary SSD for my main computer and I work with a lot of large files on it, so this has helped tremendously. I haven't run any read or write benchmarks on it because frankly, I don't need to. Through everyday use I can at least confirm the speed is fine. It feels a bit light and cheap, but the same is true of many name brand devices.If you're looking to either replace an old mechanical drive on your laptop or desktop this is a good way to do so on the cheap. If you want a secondary SSD, it's also great for that as long as your motherboard has enough SATA slots to accommodate it. This is the second Sunbow SSD I've purchased and both have worked fine from day one. Definitely worth it, especially when it's on sale.

Inexpensive, silent fast storage. Prompt delivery. Oddly enough, unformatted and ext4 had wildly faster reads than the other file systems. MUCH slower writes than more expensive drives. For an inexpensive SSD 1TB is fast, and vast. 480 GB drive may be best suited to SATA II systems or as SSD storage with a smaller SATA III boot drive.Tested it on a Lenovo T430, on a SATA III mount point, using Linux Mint 19 64bit, and the gnome disk utility.Read and Write are in MB/s 1000 passes X 10 MiB.Images of benchmarks:480 GB X31) unformatted (R) 562.4 (W) 237.62) NTFS (R) 298.6 (W) 236.73) ext4 a (R) 561.5 (W) 235.64) ExFat (R) 281.5 (W) 237.25) hfs+ (R) 280.7 (W) 236.76) ext4 b (R) 561.2 (W) 234.3++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++1 TB X37)) unformatted (R) 562.5 (W) 308.98) NTFS (R) 469.9 (W) 307.49) ext4 a (R) 562.4 (W) 310.510) ExFat (R) 462.0 (W) 307.711) hfs+ (R) 462.0 (W) 307.712) ext4 b (R) 562.2 (W) 310.5

The drive was easy to install, as most modern drives are, worked well. The shipping was fast. Will definitely look at the seller's wares next time I need to replace a drive.

I got what seemed like a great deal on this drive, but my unit has seemed to go defective immediately outside the return window. At first it was an easy install and ran ok, nothing mind-blowing speed wise, but good enough for a budget SSD. It was my secondary drive for game in a laptop until all the game installs began corrupting. I tried many things, including reformats, external enclosures, and different computers/operating systems, and data keeps corrupting no matter what I try. After one final attempt as a Linux bootdrive corrupted after initial install, I'm chalking this one up to my own mistake purchasing this drive.Drop the extra few dollars for a brand name you know in the SSD space and save the headaches and hassles. This one is a dud.
