Bought this as an upgrade for a recently purchased backwards-compatible PS3 I bought so that the slow, aging 60GB hard drive can be retired. Installation was easy as expected, the SSD formatted nicely in the PS3 and was properly detected. I reinstalled the Sony firmware, along with Evilnat custom firmware and copied over all my game discs onto the SSD, and they wrote and read very quickly and with plenty of storage space. The price point of this drive was perfect for my use case. I normally won't use anything other than Samsung or Crucial for an SSD, but as it's a games consoles I considered it less mission critical. So far though, this drive has been completely dependable.

I recently replaced my standard Hard Drive with a TEAMGROUP AX2 1TB, 2.5 Inch SATA III Internal Solid State Drive SSD and there is a noticeable speed difference over the platter based hard drive that I was using. The file transfer speed is where I see the biggest difference, the boot up time is about the same. It's only been a few months since installing the TEAMGROUP AX2 1TB SSD but it works good. Good price too.

After buying their 10-packs of 128GB memory sticks for years, I decided to buy this SSD. YEAH, BABY I am on the team of TEAMGROUP *groupies*. As the saying goes - "don't worry, I'm width the band!"
