Performance, Reliability, Price and Warranty! WD PCIE 512GB is way to go!I have installed it to my Asus ROG G752VY. I got it on the first day it was released, since then it is the top bang for the buck.It has been working without an issue (like other brands usually samsung has issues with Asus ROG series), WD worked like plug and play, utilized it, formatted it and good to go.For the performance;-I use for Gaming, web and app coding, running visual studio and sql server and adobe products straight from this drive and watching 4K movies thru and it works flawlessly without an issue.-Reading and Writing and the specs provided by manufacturer are pretty much same when I went thru benchmarks and ssd tests.-For the top performance of any drive like this, you have to make sure you have a compliant system to test and use it with. You put this ssd into an old system, you will not get the top speed out of it. Just like you cant run corolla with 100 octane racing fuel, it will not change your top speed unless you modify or upgrade for it with compliant system.-Promising performance.-Doesn't heat up much.NOTE: I USE IT PRETTY HEAVILYFor the Price and Reliaibilty;-It is the best price on the market right now with this promising performance compare to other models and brands-Western Digital I have been using over 20 years, never had any terrible experience, and I Love WD products and their Customer Service-5 Year warranty! You don't get that in this price range (even higher price range models or brands), WD is most reliable when it comes to customer service and WarrantyConclusion;I would definitely recommend this NVME PCI SSD to any type of user Pro or Home user, who is looking to get some great performance and good reliability on a great budget friendly price (Especially Gamers, 3D Designers, Coders, 4K Movie Enthusiasts). Buy it don't fear it, It will satisfy you more than you would expect.TIP: Be smart and whatever disk you buy, you make sure you keep backup in a spinning disc old style HDD's, because any chip technology storage device (SSD, M.2, USB DRIVE etc.) once they are dead, you will not be able to retrieve 95% and more data back. Even if you have the best, top and most brand or model or you spent thousands of dollars that it promises forever warranty with %100 data recovery insurance, NO! ALWAYS KEEP BACKUP!

So, I recently bought the Dell Inspiron 5570 with 15.6" (diag.) screen, 1920x1080 resolution, i7-8550U (1.8GHz to 4.0GHz, with 4 cores, hyperthreading, turbo boost, and low power consumption), CD/DVD+-R/W, 32GB RAM, 1TB SATA HDD, Race n 4GB graphics, and Win 10 Pro installed. I mention the laptop specs in case other potential buyers of this NVMe SSD want to compare to their own computers. As fast as this laptop is already straight from Dell, the HDD simply slowed it down. I knew I wanted to swap out the HDD with a SSD for program storage and another SSD M.2 card to boot from. These would definitely speed up my laptop further and, when designing and rendering 2D/3D animation, HD video editing, etc. fast is never fast enough. It took some research to figure out how best to clone my boot HDD with Win 10 Pro onto a PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD, but I ended up purchasing the AOMEI Backupper Pro software and using an online coupon for it to drop the price for the lifetime updates price from $50 to $32. I wish I had recorded a video of me disassembling my new Dell 5570 laptop and installing this SSD, also upgrading the HDD with a 2.5" SSD and installing the heatsink onto the M.2 SSD too, as well as the steps I took to clone my Win 10 Pro onto the smaller PCIe M.2 SSD from this product page. All went well and my laptop screams. My system boots in 5 seconds from the time I press the lower button. Zip!! Love this. Highly recommend this upgrade to your laptop.

For the price the drive was a great deal - it wont come close to matching a Samsung Evo/Evo Pro but for $99 its blows the doors off any SSD. Because of the type of NAND memory it uses it wont last as long as Samsung either but at 1/3 the price for a laptop for everyday nonsense and gaming it should last 10-20 years for most ppl. Sold!I got this to upgrade my new Ryzen 5 laptop from the mechanical hard drive that came with it thats acting as a secondary bulk storage now for movies/music. Windows 10 boots in 5 seconds now LOLThe Western Digital Black M.2 under extreme workloads will get HOT - and I mean VERY hot. HWINFO64 reports while bench marking with crystal disk almost 70c (eek!) But under everyday workloads averages somewhere in the 40's and thats with an exposed vent under it. The drive never throttled though and reached rated speeds. If I had the extra money I would have gotten the Samsung Evo though but I dont feel any remorse getting this.I did do an endurance stress test of the drive in a Threadripper 1950X system with an M.2 heatsink. No warnings or concerns. This would be formidable (because of price) with three of these as a RAID 0 for gaming.

Ever since I made the move to ssds I can't go back. I bought this to replace a mechanical drive in my new laptop. It made ALL the difference in the world. Before the machine would constantly be at 70% or higher disk usage. After this, I constantly stay at 5% or less. I have a Samsung 960 pro in my desktop and even though the speed ratings are different, its hardly noticeable. It greatly reduces startup time as well. I would say cut it by 2/3s time. Anyways, this is a great drive and I have had zero issues so far.
