I needed a 7mm drive, and I also wanted one with as low power consumption as possible to use as a secondary drive in my laptop, and this covered both. Also has a great $/GB ratio. It seemed to be a little tighter fit than the OEM HDD, but it fit and works fine.

I ordered three drives for different computers, one for my Thinkpad and two for my pc case that has limited space for 3.5" drives but room for plenty of 2.5" drives. They were pretty safely packaged, each drive arrived in an antistatic bag with a silica packet enclosed, wrapped in bubble wrap, inside of a small box wrapped in more bubble wrap, and all were inside of a larger box. They all have manufacture dates in 2014, so they are well beyond the WD warranty. If you plan on keeping important data on these drives, I suggest springing for the data recovery plan that Amazon offers for $13. New 750GB drives (actual formatted capacity is 698GB) for $30 though can't be beat.

Laptop required a 7mm thick drive (not 9mm as usual). This is the largest drive I could find that thin. Larger requires 2 platters and 9mm. Installed fine on an HP Envy-4. It solved the replacement problem and is working well.

Decent hard drive, only about 698gb of actual storage but it seems to work fine. Only issue is the slow loading, a bit on the below average speeds, even for hard discs, but for the price it is worth every penny (so far). It even took a beating and still functioned.
