THE GOOD: The card is fantastic. While the cost is high, it was worth every penny to me. I bought it to upgrade an older machine so that I can play Modern Warfare. Here is how powerful this card is: I'm running this card with an 8-year-old Processor, Motherboard and Ram (AMD FX8350, GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3 AM3+ AMD 990FX, and Corsair Vengeance 16GB DDR3 1600) and getting superb performance on the highest settings - including Ray Tracing. This setup is averaging 145 FPS even under the heaviest load on max settings. This card has 2 fans that are very quiet and do a great job under even the heaviest load on max settings. Under load, the card runs relatively cool at 67 degrees Celsius (153 Fahrenheit) most GPU's run between 70 and 80, and 90 degrees Celsius (194 Fahrenheit) is the heat threshold. When not under load, the fans actually stay powered down.THE BAD: NOTHING BAD ABOUT THE CARD.THE UGLY: In all the years (and thousands of dollars I've spent) with Amazon, I've rarely seen a poor packaging job but that was NOT the case this time. MOST of the time, my packages, big and small, come in boxes. This $400+ fragile Video card came in a flimsy, thin, bubble envelope. It did NOT come in a box with padding or cushioning, and to make matters worse, it was shipped via the USPS, so it was shoved into my mailbox with my other mail. I am NOT happy about this and I will be filing a complaint with Amazon.Final Thoughts: Fortunately, EVGA packages their products well and the card was not visibly damaged. Furthermore, I've been using EVGA cards and components for years because they are the highest quality, they perform extremely well, and they have USA Customer Support if anything ever goes wrong. This card is SUPERB. 5 stars for the card, 0 stars for Amazon's extremely poor choice of packaging.

Much like the other review in this list detailing the like, this GPU is great. Awesome, even. It's powerful, quiet, no heating issues. Perfect for 1080p gaming and probably even some 1440p.However, this Amazon/USPS experience has been a negative one.So, the USPS side: The package I received was a clear plastic bag (wut?) containing the normal shipping box. The box was noticeably damp. Like someone had left it out in the rain. Where I am, it hadn't rained at all between placing the order and receiving it, so it had to have been caught out in the rain sometime during transit. When I open the damp box, to my horror, I see a lot of condensation and water droplets right on the box of the GPU. I remove the outer sleeve and I see the water has seeped into the interior. By some miracle, no moisture got into the anti-static bag containing the GPU. It works. Runs perfectly fine, but there was a hell of a lot of potential to receive a $460 paper weight. Now, the promotional code from Amazon: A day later I receive the email containing the promotional code for Wolfenstein/Control. I follow the directions and go to Geforce Experience to redeem it, and wouldn't ya know it, I get an error stating the code has already been redeemed.Honestly, I'm happy that I have my card and it works, but the dumb little headaches like this are the reason I might just start ordering my expensive electronics from another source. Hell, maybe I'll even start driving 4 hours to the nearest Microcenter. That's better than receiving a box that looks like its been through a monsoon. Amazon and USPS are just getting careless.UPDATE: I made contact with Amazon support and they provided me with a new promotional code for the games I was supposed to get. The code worked. Thank you to June and Harika for your help!

Just completed my first computer build in over 10 years. The graphics card was one of the more difficult decisions. The Radeon line of cards seem to offer the best value in terms of price for performance, but I was concerned with all of the driver issues that seemed to be reflected in a lot of the reviews. Ultimately ended up going with nvidia since it seemed like a safer choice (didn't want to take too many risks since it's been a while since I've done a build and have quite a lot of money tied up in this) I was also more familiar with the nvidia software as they've typically been my choice. The installation of the optional power link was kind of intricate, but compared to everything else, not too complex. Just have to read the instructions and take your time. Performance so far has been outstanding, and in line with expectations based on all of the on-line media reviews and charts. Fan noise seems great to me even under heavy load. With my head set on, can't hear them at all. Even without, it wouldn't bother me at all and is barely perceptible (my tower does sit on the floor though, so not right next to my head). More than reasonable noise output. The performance and quality of this card is awesome. The only thing to really consider is the price. Is this the absolute best value in graphics cards? Probably not. But I am extremely happy with it. It gives you an awesome gaming experience, and (so far) no issues or problems whatsoever! That's worth something!
