Although this card's price point is quite steep for most I think it's well worth it especially if you have a rig that compliments it well. Make sure though that you have enough room in your case to fit it because this thing is massive compared to average graphics cards. It's about 13 inches long and about 2.5 inches thick and it was pretty tight getting it into a full tower! (mainly due to my tower having trays for harddrives and such) Thermals seem to be exceptional, about 32 degrees celsius at idle with fans OFF at ambient (room) of 20 degrees celsius just using the massive heatsink alone to cool it. Under full load it's around 58 Celsius at about 78% fan speed with my fan curve settings. I use the fan curve in MSI afterburner to have it at minimum of 30% fan speed which brings it down to 27-30 at idle. The RGB lighting is fully controllable and beautiful with a ton of profiles in "MSI Mystic Light" which you can download online. Coming from a GTX 970 this card more than doubled my framerate on pretty much any game at 1440p and maxes graphics settings on almost any game with ease. I can finally take advantage of my 144hz monitor. Overall I believe this card is worth it if you can afford it and may hopefully come down in price a bit once the 30xx series comes out (maybe wishful thinking lol). So far I've had no issues that people had with the card right around 2018-2019 and I think it's because most of the issues have been ironed out by now (fingers crossed) but I will absolutly update the review if I do. So if the review stays good then that means I've had no issues.

I've had this card powering my gaming PC for almost seven months now and I couldn't be happier. I have it vertically mounted, which is preferable due to its size and weight, its a pretty large card, so it needs a large case. I have it paired with a AMD Ryzen 9 3950x CPU (64 GB DDR4 3200 RAM) playing games like Assassin's Creed Odyssey, Borderlands 3, Dying Light, Fallout 76, Metro Exodus Enhanced and The Outer Worlds at max quality and 4K UHD resolution nets a minimum of 55 FPS, and a typical average of 65-70 FPS. The CPU is advertised to get 100+ FPS in todays popular games, but in order to get those kind of frame rates you have to play at 1440p (2K) resolution. But as long as you have a sufficiently powerful CPU gaming in 4K resolution (3840x2160) looks just beautiful, and with at least 55 FPS no lag at all, performs very smoothly. The card's heatsink and fans do their job very well, the noise level is actually pretty quiet compared to previous cards I've had, even when the fans are running at 100%. Even gaming in 4K I've never seen the GPU temp get above 70 °C, which is very good.

The Rtx 2080ti is as such a top of the line graphics card. The best gpu you can buy besides like an rtx titan. The card runs great, and it includes a raise bar to help prevent card sagging which is a pretty nice plus. I have no issues running games like Insurgency Sandstorm, and Call of Duty Modern Warfare. Now while the card is great, nothing comes without it's fair share of flaws. The first problem, this one being very important to be aware of, is that the card straight out of the box DOESN'T have its fans turned on. If you get this card or any graphics card for that matter, be sure to check that the fans are on. I wasn't aware of this fact till my computer crashed and i checked msi afterburner to see my temps and saw my fans were off!!! So please for those of you who get the MSI RTX 2080ti get afterburner and double check if the fans are on or not otherwise the card will throttle, and/or crash. The only other issue, is small for me but might be pretty big for others is that the card runs pretty warn in a midtower, especially if you're using a Noctua heatsink. So far in my short time having this card, these were the only things i found problematic with the card otherwise it runs and works great! I can't 100% say it's best bang for your buck or that it's exactly needed unless you plan on future proofing. For those looking for a powerful graphics card that will last them for a good handful of years, then the 2080 is for you. Otherwise, i recommend a 2070 or the 2070s, (2080 if he price is still close to the 2070s). The 2070 will still last you a long time and run really good, as well as save you a pretty big chunk of change.

Bought it back in February 2019, the card when worked was great, I went to install windows 10 again after changing to an M.2, card was not showing in BIOS. I figured okay it will after i install the correct drivers. Did all of the updating went back into BIOS it showed up i turned off onboard video, saved and reset. Unplugged from the mother board into the card. Black screen wouldn't boot. Hard restart. 2nd hard restart. Well crap moved the hdmi cable back to onboard video finally got back into the bios. Computer restarted, unplugged from motherboard again into the card. Video worked fine, installed a game played it for a little while no issues graphics on ultra settings.Seen i had a windows update to install, let it do its thing install update computer restarted again only black screen. Did another hot swap from card to motherboard pc started normal. Checked all 4 sticks of RAM trying to trouble shoot the issue. Each stick was good. Reinstalled all 4 sticks changed hdmi back to video card again black screen. Back to the motherboard again.Pc started no issues, this time when i did a hot swap with the hdmi cable there was a lot of pixelated spots on the monitor. The video card gave me issues after about 6 months when it worked it was a great card, when it didn't it hit home that i wasted $1600 on a boat anchor. Never again will i buy from MSI.I'm waiting now for my EVGA to show up, don't waste your time or your money on this card.
