Didn't need a modular PSU due to my case having a basement. The PSU is very very quiet and powers my RX 5700 GPU w/ ease. I recommend getting a Gold rated PSU like this one and a case to conceal the extra cables (the NZXT H10 is a fantastic case) versus a Bronze modular PSU.
