Very good quality unit with very tight voltage regulation. I've included a screenshot of system specs while the PC was under a full load. The 12V rail was dead on, with a slight jump while idle, the 5V fluctuated between 5 and 5.04, still plenty safe and stable. CPU voltage didn't fluctuate once under load. This was fantastic news for me, because my old unit had a lot of fluctuation, especially at higher overclocks. Prior to getting this unit, I settled for a 4.5GHz overclock on my 6700K due to inconsistent voltages under load at higher clocks(delta between min and max was near .02v). With this new unit, my first short test at 4.8GHz was a success with 100% consistent voltage under load and only .004 vdroop(1.42 in BIOS, 1.416 under load, 1.424 idle, difference of only .008). An 8 hour test should tell me if my old PSU was really what was holding me back, from there I might see if this unit's tighter regulation will allow me to set it a little lower in the BIOS. Very pleased with the performance. For the price, 80+ Platinum would have been nice but...for what you get it's still worth it. When under 40% load the fan doesn't spin making your system very quiet during light usage. Once you hit 40% load(or a certain temperature) the fan kicks on and is still pretty quiet. Now, not only does the unit perform great, it also looks fantastic, especially in a white themed build or one with RGB lighting. I like the individually sleeved white cables and the included cable combs(those suckers are so expensive to buy separate, for what they are). The Corsair website's production description gives you incorrect details about the number of included cables, but the picture is accurate. These are also very high quality cables, seems like a decently thick gauge wiring, and there are capacitors in some of the cables which help with stability, reliability and safety.I'm a little upset that they didn't included branded Velcro wraps for the cables. Literally every other unit I've bought from other brands comes with them, and those units cost half as much as this. I did appreciate the solid emblem for your case(instead of the sticker that some others give), but I feel that at this price range, including 50 cents worth of velcro wraps should be a no brainer for customer satisfaction. At least they slapped a 10 year warranty on it though, this unit will be in at least 2 or 3 PCs during that time. Power cable to the wall is also very thick. Aside from not including the Velcro cable wraps, they didn't really cheap out on anything with this. And as a note about overvolting and overclocking my CPU: it's been delidded, the TIM underneath replaced with liquid metal, then the IHS reseated. I'm a risk taker with no regards for my CPU's warranty(voided it within 5 minutes of opening the box haha!), your results may vary and you have to be sure to take the risks into consideration before doing anything outside of manufacturer recommendations.

Want a fantastic product? Want a power supply to have so much quality that it can run graphics cards that have a 700w power requirement but can be run on a 650w version of this power supply? Want a power supply that has a long warranty, almost no cases of failing, and will last you for years? This is the power supply HANDS DOWN.This is a power supply that can stand extremely hot temperatures. I used a R9 390x (One of the hottest GPU's around) on a RM650x. Not only did i use a 700w requirement GPU on a 650w power supply, but It was able to withstand so much heat, it was incredible. The fan is one of Corsair's high quality fans. Practically silent (Even at 100%), Doesn't even turn on until at 30%-40% load, and keeps the power supply cool. Fantastic fan and cooling. The power supply itself isn't a heat generator AT ALL. It gets a little warm (Cozy warm) around 85% load. That's also fantastic. It comes with all the necessities and extras needed for whatever wattage you choose. The cables are sleeved and are easy to install. Very flexible and many cables are included. Just click in and forget. The warranty is 7 YEARS, and you (Most likely) will never need to use it. This product is in a category of it's own. This is the best price/quality PSU, the best power efficient and quiet PSU around, and the best included cables HANDS DOWN!If you are looking for the best PSU for the money, THIS. IS. IT!

The fan is off (silent mode) during normal use (when not under heavy load). I don't notice any fan noise even when my machine is under heavy load. It performs as expected. The unit is energy efficient and came with a 10-year warranty. It's a bit pricier compared to other similar models. However, know I can count on its quality build and it gives me peace of mind.Note that the CPU power cable provides (in my case) just enough length to make the connection to my motherboard. You might need extensions if you have a taller case or want to route your cables in a less direct way.

This is a reliable, good part that met all my expectations and needs. It's a good price and quality for what I needed it for. It's also very quiet. This was easy to install and set up.I used this power supply in a custom-built gaming computer. I chose this specific one because it provided room for my PC to be able to grow in the future.I have already recommended this part to my friends who are planning to custom-build a PC.
