On my search for a new power supply for a new workstation, I needed something that could provide clean reliable power. Reading online I kept hearing everyone crave about Seasonic power supplies so I gave them a go and I am very pleased I did.Opening the box I found a nice bag off accessories that helped for a clean install as well as the power supply itself. I could tell from the sleek professional look they take a lot of pride in their products. And while I was a bit confused why a power supply needed a carrying bag, it made for the perfect bag to keep all the little cables and nick nack you have left over from a pc build that you may want to keep in case of a future upgrade. After getting the unit installed and pressing the power button for the first time everything was powered as it should and I was pleased to find the fan was nice and quiet when it does turn on. The motherboard reports stable voltages right on target. I have a good feeling this unit will last me many years, especially with generous warranty in the off chance that anything was to happen. I will be using Seaonic to power my future builds.

Phenomenal and very well made with 100% Japanese components and safety instruction sets. Power surge protection, voltage surge protection, under and over-volt protection etc.For me semi-modular was the way to go with the case I had and for the price it was like buying a high end Thermaltake from years ago. You will rarely use even 300w of 650w with a high end gaming PC if made properly, which keeps the power supply at silent fan operation and 90% power efficiency because of the 80 plus Gold rating.Sadly Thermaltake has fallen by the way side the past couple years it seems, they definitely need new operational management and product control - Seasonic is the power supply company if you want the best components and override features and are willing to spend the money.

So far I’m pleased with both the quality of packaging, cable management options, and performance. I did not experience any issues, and it came with enough cables to accomplish any build I could anticipate. When balancing full modular vs semi modular, I see no real disadvantage to offer main system cables built in and have the option to plugin accessory cables as needed. Perfect blend to save a few bucks.System:i7 8700k coffee lakeBeQuiet Cooling and heatsinkNvidia 950 gtx 2gb FTW16gb DDR4 RAM

The Focus Gold 650 Semi-Modular power supply is working great. Included are several zip ties for good cable management as well as a power cord. The pre-attached cables did not cause additional clutter as I required the PCIe cable for my RX 580 graphics card. Installation was easy in the Corsair 100R case. Overall, this is a great power supply with no issues so far.
