Pros:Solid, heavy caseConnectors aren't cheap, flimsy crap. Not DOA. (Seriously, though, read some reviews of other PSUs and it will seem like half of them come DOA)Quiet. No real cons.. (read other thoughts)Other Thoughts:It doesn't feel like the fan blows that hard, but that may be a result of the honeycomb rear panel, which would spread out the air flow over a greater area. The only wires that are wrapped are the ones that go to the main MOBO connector (others are zip tied)I was pleasantly surprised by the total of four 6-pin PCI express connectors (with one being a 6+2)Good, solid PSU for the price.

In a plantation house in Nashville there's a room where you can hear a clock ticking 45 steps away. My employer had me build a computer for him. I did not know that the thing was going into a room as silent as a tomb. After installing you could hear that computer from rooms away. it wasn't that it was that much louder than an average office computer, it was that it was in the quietest place I think I have been in my life.Swapped the PS out with this, and although you can hear the fan in the room, it did what I needed it to do.Man does it have a lot of connectors on it though... phew,,,

With quality components and enough power for a basic system at a decent price, this PSU was a decent choice for me. However, 500 watts is too low for many gaming or high-end systems. Before buying, take a look at the rest of the components you plan to use. If you plan to run multiple graphics cards in an SLI or Crossfire configuration, this unit will almost certainly be inadequate in terms of both power requirements and connectors. Also worth noting: this is a non-modular power supply, meaning that you can only use the attached cables and connectors. There's a good chance that you will end up cramming the excess cables and connectors behind the side panel of your case. And remember to do as much research as you can before buying a power supply, and never buy the cheapest thing you can find. A poorly-made power supply can damage or destroy your PC's other components, or even burst into flames. Silverstone's units generally don't do this, but you cannot go off of the brand alone, regardless of the quality of their other products.

At first I was a bit skeptical not knowing the quality of this particular brand but it did have the dimensions and electrical specs I required.Long story short I was very pleased with the quality and overall construction of the unit. I digitally checked all the outputs and they were within tolerance.I purchased the 500W version from this manufacturer and the DB level is very low, hardly heard. Very little heat is generated so the efficiency is also good. I have so far built two units with these units and am pleased with both.
