Good product. Just need to return for larger screen size

I have owned this for almost 2 years now? It's a great product! And works for what I need it for. I'm not a power gamer or anything like that but I do play the occasional game on it. It works great, great graphics and excellent viewability.

I purchased one of these in 2014 and another one in 2015 and really liked them. Simple, cheap, but still very good picture quality.I purchased two more (for a total of four) in March 2016 and instantly noticed inferior picture quality when compared to the previous ones. I did a lot of testing and troubleshooting but ultimately noticed different manufacturing dates as noted on the serial tags on the back of each monitor.Armed with this information I spent an hour with Acer tech support (great, by the way) only to find that Acer changed out the type of LCD panel at some point last year (evidently cheaper components, inferior picture quality)…but kept the same model number! The frame/bezel/stand design is identical and, again, the same model number. But it's not the same…and this new version is horrible. The prior version of the monitor had nice deep blacks and great contrast. This new version has a bright gray cast and will not get to true black no matter how the settings are adjusted.I've attached an image that shows one of the new ones in the middle of the old ones at power up. You can see deep black versus the "not black" situation, and it's the same once they are receiving signal from the computer.Unfortunately I had already chucked the packaging, assuming they would be identical to the old ones. Otherwise I would send these back for a refund faster than you can say "these monitors are horrible."It is disgusting that Acer would release what is essentially a new monitor while keeping the exact same model number because these are NOT the same monitor as before. I was previously a big fan of this company but not any more.Anyway if you've gotten this far, the long and short of it is to NOT buy this monitor because the picture quality is horrible and you will hate it.

We have about 110 of these now at a few locations and we have only had two with issues. They are fairly basic monitors, but they fit the bill for us. Big thing we needed was Vesa mount and they had to have at least one vga, and one dvi port. Honestly if you're not using these for business you will likely not be too happy, the viewing angle isn't the widest and the contrast is lacking, fine for email or using a business application but not good for media.
