So I have to say there is some serious quality issues with these Asus/acer/aoc products, since they use the same panels they share the same problems.I got the 1440p 165hz TN panel and I have to say that out of the box the colors were washed out, apparently it looks this way to me because I am used to incorrect, over sagurated calibrations but regardless it did not look right to me. I had to get a profile from Tom's hardware to set it up, once done it was certainly nicer but eh, I didn't get the monitor for that.Pros:Functionally, it works perfectly the screen works flawlessly in gaming and I don't experience the gsync blinking that is prevalent on the Acer version of this panel.Gsync: no jitters whatsoeverGood color scape, once configuredCons:Expensive:It is not worth the price, just no, for something that cost this much it should be perfect out the box.Gsync: supposedly Nvidia is the reason this is so high since they have to pay a premium to feature this on their screens, I don't buy it.Support:So my panel did not come with any of the usual dead pixel/ stuck pixel, yet. However it did come with the random vertical tear at the sides. Supposedly Asus will fix this if you send them the monitor, honeslty it does not happen frequently e ough for me to do that since flicking the power on and off will fix it.If you just got to have that 165hz then you can't really go wrong with this panel just make sure you go in with your eyes open, buying this at full price is a big no no, get it on sale and prepare to configure it once you get it. Just search for pg278qr icc in Google.

I got the QR model. I love it! I got this to replace the 1080p 60HZ one I've been using for 5 years. I have 0 dead pixels and no light bleed that I can see. I barely had to adjust the settings to get the picture how I wanted. Just turned down the red levels and the brightness slightly. It seems like someone calibrated it at the factory already. The monitor arrived in the factory box. I thought that it was a little weird to leave a 600 dollar package on my porch in a bad neighborhood without anything to disguise it. But hey, I guess that what Amazon has insurance for. The picture quality is really good! The blacks and blues especially. I found the greens to be a little weak, but only if I'm being hypercritical. For 600 bucks it's exactly what it needs to be. When I first turned the monitor on it had this weird glitter effect on the screen. It went away after a few hours so maybe that's normal for display panels of this type if they haven't been used for a while. The difference between 144hz and 165hz is noticeable, especially in first person shooters. I couldn't tell when I was just browning the internet or playing a slower paced game though. The plastic all has a premium feel to it. Finger prints don't stick to this monitor as much as Asus' other models. The light ring on the base is cool. I happen to already have a red/black color scheme on my rig so it matches nicely. However for 630 bucks I don't see why they couldn't have just made it RGB.The monitor comes with something called Asus game plus. This is just gimmicky crap. There's a crosshair overlay that you can put over you screen. Totally pointless because any game you need a crosshair for will already have one. And the options they give you are all these HUGE poorly designed pixelated monsters. They don't even have an option to make it just a dot. Game Plus also lets you impose some red lines and grey boxes on the edges of your screen. This lets you line things up or something. Totally useless. Nobody is going to buy this monitor for graphic design. The last thing you can do with this feature is add an fps counter in the top right corner. The numbers are these HUGE yellow things. They won't appear in any screen captures either if your trying to show off you rig. It's nice to have an fps counter, but most games already have them, and programs like FRAPS are free. I'd say this feature is a poorly shoehorned gimmick. It makes it feel like one of those cheap Madcatz controllers with 50 features you'll never use just so they can put more on the box.The controls on this monitor are REALLY good. My old Asus monitor required you to push the volume down button and then the brightness upo buttons to raise the volume. They've come leaps and bounds since then. Now there is this little joystick thing that makes navigating the menus super easy.I wouldn't recommend buying this monitor unless you have at least a GTX 1060 otherwise you won't be able to play games like Overwatch and Rainbow 6 siege to this monitors full potential. DO NOT buy this monitor if you have an AMD GPU as they do not support G-sync.Speaking of G-sync I'm not really sure what to think. At 165 FPS I can't tell the difference between it being on or off. I still get screen tearing even when it's on. I haven't spent very much time with it at 60fps, I feel like that's where the G-Sync would make a difference. All in all very happy with my purchase.

Most of the consumers will benefit the higher screen refresh rate of 144hz for smoother movements on gaming and native PC video playing(of course it will also depend on your video player software can support that rate or not, if not it will only play the highest rate of native software setup, even in blu-ray Power DVD Ultra version can support 4K, but it didn’t mean it will support 144hz, because next is key, resolution and refresh rate is 2 different thing!). With the 2560x1440p resolution, not only your working and viewing area on screen getting bigger space room and icon w/text become smaller but sharper with original setup. Plus with its 144hz(upscale to 165hz) refresh rate and 2560x1440p resolution, the biggest gain and benefit party consumers will be the FPS Gamers. With Battlefield, CODBOp4, PUBG, Fortnite, this screen will make the game playing have deeper color density, pretty extreme fine pixel, very smooth movement, and higher fps rate. OF COURSE, if your VGA can have G-sync ready, it will even better to make this monitor ultra purpose of fps playing. In PUBG, now in longer distance viewing with original video setup w/this monitor, the enemies will look and detect much clearly & easier, because the extremely fine pixel, the screen will make the pixel better integrate together as a human looks like scale as a solid target, rather than 1080p a little bit of soft edge. The only drawback of this monitor is the color, if you are in graphic or photoshop heave users, this is not a monitor for you because the precisely color is a little bit off, only way is to calibrate it totally, because you will also detect in-game color also a little bit off, too when compared with 1080p, but except that color issue, the build quality and function of this item is extremely will and excellent!!
