The Grim Fandango!
Ignore these other bullish reviews. yes its only 1080p, yes it goes to144hz. i have a 4k monitor too. i play on this one... its no nonsense, picture is amazing! borderlands 3 at 144hz looks f-ing great! i will be buying 2 more for a 3 monitor setup. for the haters saying its only 1080 and what not. screw that. this monitor is great! and its not massively curved like other monitors.prosgreat pictureadaptive frame rate.plays flawless at max resolution at 144hz, gtx1080ti. w/ hdrconsi want to stress that the only con i got was with windows, using multiple monitors and HDR. i am using two other wide screen LG monitors that are NOT hdr compatible. this doesnt play nice with any HDR monitor. not sure what it has to do with. removing the other monitors fixes it and/or turning off HDR fixes it. doesnt seem to be an issue with VR, tested with occulus and vive first gen.as youve probably gathered i love this monitor. warzone looks great at max res. Borderlands 3 at max res and dx 11 or 12 is amazing. detroit become human had me believing i was an android! ok that might be overkill...ghost recon wildlands is truly wild. breakpoint is fantastic.tl:dr fawk the haters, this is a great budget monitor and if you need more....chances are you a poser! woot!

I'm not going to go into gaming review. There are tons out there and I can tell you it is an awesome gaming monitor. I think the question people have is about "pixelation" for 34 inch monitor with a 1080p resolution. Personally, I don't see any problem with that at all. FYI, I didn't compare it directly with my 24 inch monitor, since I gave it away when i received this monitor. I think it looks great looking at spreadsheets, word documents, and youtube. I don't feel that this is "not sharp".I read a review that someone gets headache because of the "low resolution". I think that is a bunch of crap. You can't get headaches like that. Personally, I think the reason of the headache may be because of the brightness. This monitor is very bright. Remember, you are sitting very close to it, and if you keep it at the same brightness level, it is going to feel a lot brighter compare to a small monitor. Imagine you have a single light bulb, and then you add another one. Two light bulbs will feel a lot brighter than one single light bulb at the same brightness level. I have to lower down the brightness quite a lot. Otherwise, it is straining my eyes since I'm still sitting at the same distance when using the 24 inch monitor. With that being said, if you previously used a 1440p monitor, then this is not for you. Point is that if you never use 1440p, you won't miss it. But if you had been using 1080p at either 24 inch monitor, or 27 inch monitor, the resolution should feel the same to you.

A few things about this monitor you should know before buying.I don’t if this is just my unit but the 144hz is not stable on this monitor ( it seems like a factory overclock just so they can put that 144hz on the label.) screen tears with g-sync and with v-sync. It runs smooth once tone it down to 120hz. This is the biggest con. Other than that the monitor itself is great. Colors are good. Viewing angles good. Great stand. Some people will say not to get 1080p widescreen because of pixel density but rather to get 1440p. Don’t listen to them. It’s all about preference, image quality vs performance. If your a gamer that prefers more frames then get a 1080p monitor. getting a 1440p widescreen will require more graphic resources to push, and losing potential FPS.As for my experience with it, coming from a 144hz 16:9 tan panel. The wide screen experience is amazing. I don’t think I can go back. Even at 120hz it’s still worth it.EDIT UPDATE: been using the monitor for a long time now, after month or so..it seemed to have fixed the screen tearing at 144hz settings. Must of been a break-in period, to get the monitor working right. Had the monitor about a year now no problems, changing to 5 star review.

So ive had this for a year now, First photo is my first set up and i moved to a new place. I pulled it off the regular stand and put it on a Vesa mount (super easy to install)My only gripes are1. If you use an xbox, switch or other console it will strech the image (thats not lgs fault but i wanted people to know this)2. No internal speakers3. for some reason the settings dont work with every picture mode. the monitor locks them out on some. its weird to explain and i dont know whyBut having said all of that, this thing is killer! no dead pixel issues, no over heating, no DOA issues. Came in a great packaging, was easy to set up and my 2060 (now upgraded to a 3070) runs this montior flawlessly. It looks better then the asus, dell and acer monitors i had before and its just incomparible to anything else and this stands out so muchG sync is beatiful and makes any game feel better at any framerate. plus everyone that i show my set up to is just impressed at the size and view angle of this monitor.
